      Manager, Quality and Risk
      Job Title: Manager, Quality and Risk
      Reports to: Director, Sustainability and Risk Management
      Type: Permanent, Full Tim

      The Opportunity

      The Manager, Quality and Risk is responsible for working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to develop a quality assurance program and framework for internal and external auditing, and to identify and manage corporate risks to ensure accountability and continual improvement across the organization.

      Responsibilities include:

      • Establish clear accountability and oversight mechanisms, and manage risks, through the development and implementation of quality assurance and risk management programs, including policy, procedure, and initiative development, execution and enforcement, outcome evaluation, and continual improvement processes.
      • Design and execute quality assurance audit plans and implementation roadmaps.
      • Develop business strategies and plans to drive improvements to organizational performance and stakeholder satisfaction.
      • Conduct and/or lead internal and external quality audits of material Board of Directors and Management policies, procedures and processes, financial risks and controls, human rights and labour relations obligations and issues, business ethics, and all key corporate regulatory and contractual obligations.
      • Prioritize, develop, assign and/or oversee corrective and preventative action plans relating to audit findings and observations.
      • Lead and/or facilitate the development of business continuity plans.
      • Has the authority and responsibility to hire, provide training, development and coaching, regular performance discussions and annual performance appraisals, investigate, discuss matters that lead to discipline and terminate direct report employees.

      Selection Criteria include:

      • Post-secondary degree in quality management, business administration, or other related field.
      • Post-secondary training in risk management and quality management is a strong advantage.
      • Previous experience in a leadership and/or management role.
      • Successful completion of an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor course and/or certification preferred.
      • Experience in the development of quality management systems and enterprise risk management systems, including policies, manuals, plans, procedures, and work instructions.
      • Strong project management skills, including previous experience in developing project charters, roadmaps, and managing deliverables with milestones and dependencies.
      • Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical, decision making, problem solving, planning and priority setting skills.
      • Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills to coordinate effectively with a broad variety of internal and external stakeholders.
      • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Ability to maintain the appropriate safeguards for the confidentiality of corporate and customer information.
      • Ability to exercise mature and professional judgement in conflict and stress situations.
      • Possess a high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office products (including Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio).

      Condition of employment is the ability to obtain and maintain an Airport Restricted Area Identification Card.
