Responsibilities
Manager Quality, Quality Systems Owner needed by Celanese Corporation in Florence, KY to Responsible for ensuring product/process integrity for compounding using performance monitoring and improvement programs. Perform periodic process audits/gap assessments to address gaps and nonconformances and conducting continuous improvement initiatives (QIT) within the plant. Lead and address customer issues daily with emphasis on on-going monitoring and performance improvements, leading the containment activities and addressing all customer issues in a timely fashion with root cause, corrective and preventive action. Improve quality performance of the site. Ensure quality notifications (QNs) are completed in a timely fashion. Ensure all customer QNs have a robust corrective action plan completed quickly (CAPA/8D). Reduce non conformances from the plant and work with manufacturing and T&I/Engineering/CTG to eliminate repeat QNs and issues from production. Responsible for root cause investigation and corrective/preventive actions in place and ensure CAPA/8D is completed on all NCs. Ensure containment activities are performed when a nonconformance is discovered to prevent repeat escapees. Support internal qualification requirements for customers. Support any customer audits, cost reduction activities, perform lessons learnt and best practices sharing within teams. Periodic reporting of quality issues, performance and metrics to management and team members. Lead registrar certification audits. Participate in formulating quality standards, policies, programs, plans, procedures, and practices. Perform semi-complex statistical analysis as related to quality. Support in the analysis of production limitations and problems to continuous improvement opportunities. Participate in the implementation of Quality Management Systems and Techniques (QMST). Conduct internal audits and surveys/assessment to determine acceptability of quality controls. Participate and lead internal audits. Write internal procedures or processes as needed. Facilitate root cause investigations using KT, Apollo, 5Y and Fishbone. Utilize ISO 9001, 14001, and IATF 16949 standards. Utilize Sample Manager, SAP, Minitab, Excel, Visio, Gage Pack, Power BI, Smartsheet, MS Project, and Microsoft 365. Utilize ISO and KOSHER.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate of experience in the job offered or 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate of in a related occupation facilitating root cause investigations using KT, Apollo, 5Y and Fishbone; utilizing ISO 9001, 14001, and IATF 16949 standards; utilizing Sample Manager, SAP, Minitab, Excel, Visio, Gage Pack, Power BI, Smartsheet, MS Project, and Microsoft 365; and utilizing ISO and KOSHER.
