Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in information technology required.
Minimum of 3 years in a management, supervisory or lead position required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Health Care environment preferred.
Cogito Systems Administration or Epic certification(s) a plus, and may be required within 6 months from date of hire, allowing for two test retakes.
Microsoft certification(s), project management certifications, and other industry certifications a plus.

40Summary:
The Manager, Research and Data Platform is responsible for the availability, performance, security, and administration of the Cook enterprise research and data platform, which comprises on-premise and cloud systems supporting data management, business intelligence, advanced analytics, research, and other data applications across the organization. This role enables organizational agility through implementation and administration of highly-automated, efficient, and standards-compliant data and analytics infrastructure. Within the purview of the Manager, Research and Data Platform are database management systems, business intelligence applications, analytics tools, middleware applications, metadata management software, monitoring/alerting solutions, domain-specific data platforms, cloud services, and related infrastructure. The Manager assists with the assessment, acquisition, and implementation of new technologies and processes, and collaborates with peers to drive innovation and data-centric culture. Success in this role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as broad knowledge in data management, system administration, and IT infrastructure. Responsibilities include daily operational management, personnel management, resource and capacity planning, project management, and budget planning.
