      Summary

      *This is a hybrid position that works two days a week in the Aliso Viejo, CA office*

      Metagenics is seeking a Manager, Revenue and AR to join our team! We are seeking an experienced a Manager, Revenue and AR who will play a key role in our financial operations by leading our accounts receivable team and driving revenue process improvements through effective use of systems.

      This role is responsible for supervising the Accounts Receivable department of 5 team members as well as identifying, recording, and reporting the transactional business of the Company in accordance with GAAP.

      To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive, solutions-oriented leader with a strong focus on driving process improvements and leveraging systems. You will have leadership qualities to successfully mentor, guide and develop the team in an evolving and continuous improvement environment.

      Responsibilities

      What you’ll do:

      • Manage and oversee the accounts receivable team, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, credit processing, and collection activities.
      • Continuously evaluate and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of revenue accounting systems, processes, and internal controls, with a strong focus on automation and technology-driven solutions.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer service, and IT, to ensure seamless integration of revenue accounting processes and systems.
      • Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to accounts receivable and revenue accounting, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
      • Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant accounting standards and regulations, ensuring compliance with all applicable financial reporting requirements.
      • Develop and maintain documentation of revenue accounting policies, procedures, and controls, ensuring they are updated and communicated across the organization.
      • Develop and implement strategies to optimize accounts receivable processes, reduce outstanding balances, and minimize bad debt exposure.
      • Assist in the development and execution of the company's annual financial audit, liaising with external auditors as needed.
      • Provide training, mentorship, and support to the accounts receivable team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
      • Perform ad-hoc analyses and special projects as needed, supporting the company's aggressive growth objectives in the direct-to-consumer and ecommerce space.
      • Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure related to accounts receivable.
      • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing.
      • Foster strong relationships with IT, Operations, and outside consultants to identify best practices then drive implementation across the organization.

      What you'll need:

      Experience / Training / Education

      • Must have BA/BS in accounting with strong working knowledge of GAAP
      • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a strong focus on revenue, accounts receivable and process improvement
      • Experience in the direct-to-consumer and ecommerce sectors is a plus.
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across various departments and levels within the organization.
      • Demonstrated expertise in leveraging technology and systems to drive process improvements and automation
      • Microsoft D365 Accounting Software preferred

      Knowledge of

      • Windows operating environment and MS Office products (Excel, Word, Access)
      • Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
      • Financial Software’s
      • Web Based Payment Platforms

      Skills/Abilities

      • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills are essential
      • Good verbal and written communication skills
      • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
      • Must adapt to change and be flexible
      • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
      • Microsoft Dynamics D365 experience a plus
      • Demonstrated problem solving skills with ability to get to root cause
      • Ability to challenge current processes and innovate
      • Strong knowledge of GAAP requirements
      • Expert problem-solving and data-analysis skills
      • Ability to work well under pressure and balance multiple priorities and assignments to meet deadlines
      • Ability to work professionally in a team environment with both internal and external customers

      Compensation:

      The current range for this role based out of Aliso Viejo, CA is $117,000/yr to $130,000/yr.

      The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

      This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
