EY is a globally recognized professional services firm dedicated to helping organizations navigate the challenges and opportunities of the digital age. Our Technology Risk Consultancy team is at the forefront of providing expert guidance to our clients in managing and mitigating technology-related risks. We work with some of the world's leading Financial Service organizations and offer a dynamic, collaborative, and innovative work environment.

We have ambitious plans! We’re looking to grow our FSO Tech Risk Team to 200+ in the UK alone.

That’s why we’re now looking to hire additional Managers into a team which already has some of the finest minds in the industry.

      The Opportunity

As a Manager within our Technology Risk team, you will play a pivotal role in assisting our clients in identifying, assessing, and managing technology risks. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of IT Consulting and Assurance projects, including IT External Audit Support, IT Internal Audit, Regulatory Reviews, Operational Resilience, and Emerging Technology Risk.

You will collaborate with our clients to protect their reputation by mitigating business, financial reporting, and IT risks, while also working alongside our colleagues in Consulting and Assurance.

We operate a hybrid working model, but you will still need to spend time both on client site and in your local office. We're currently looking to recruit into London, Bristol, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Manchester.

EY is an equal opportunity employer. We encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds and experiences.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Manage and deliver complex IT audit projects, including scoping, financial management, risk management, and quality assurance.
      • Lead and manage a team of tech risk consultants on client engagements, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to the team in a positive learning culture.
      • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on technology risk matters.
      • Collaborate with clients to design and implement effective risk mitigation strategies and security frameworks.
      • Stay current with industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices to ensure the highest level of service to clients.
      • Prepare and deliver clear and concise reports and presentations to clients and senior management.
      • Monitor and assess regulatory compliance and assist clients in meeting relevant industry standards and regulations.
      • Ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes and deliverables with meticulous attention to detail.
      • Support business development activities on strategic and global priority accounts as you progress in your career.
      • Contribute to industry research and client thought leadership.

      Skills and attributes for success

You'll be a Technology Risk professional with proven management skills and a strong understanding of the IT risk landscape, alongside a real desire to understand EY, or clients and their businesses. You'll be comfortable seamlessly transitioning between client sites, our offices and working from home as you work alongside and lead skilled engagement teams that address emerging technology and data risks.

To qualify for the role you must have some or all of the following

      • Proficiency in audit analytics and automated control testing.
      • Experience with assurance over regulatory remediation programs.
      • Strong relationship-building skills across various FS clients and stakeholders.

      Ideally, you'll also have

      • The ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and manage cross-functional projects.
      • Experience in establishing and leading high-performance teams and coaching individual team members.
      • Relevant industry certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, CGEIT, ITIL, PMP, PRINCE2, or other specialized IT certifications.
