- Provide capital markets product subject matter expertise, with a focus on securities reference and market data.
- Collaborate with technology partners to enhance the capabilities.
- Analyze data sourcing needs, data mapping, and transformation to meet business requirements.
- Responsible for the support of trade and transactions data services on GBM Data Platform, including Trade Central support.
- Perform data analysis on GBM streaming and batch platforms. Expertise and experience in query language for relational databases and document/JSON are definitive requirements.
- Facilitate GBM trades and transactions data sourcing needs for internal data consumers such as GBM, Finance, Risk Management, Treasury, and other corporate functions. Document definitions and contextual understanding, and act as a subject matter expert to clients. Provide advice and guidance on data mapping and transformation to meet business requirements.
- Support data initiatives as assigned.
- Understands and supports leading practices related to data management. Has experience with capital markets products and business processes.
- Contributes to the governance of trade and transactions domain. Assist in the development of the trade and transactions data domain, and business adoption of data governance activities.
- Contributes to the management of reference data related to the assigned products.
- Keep abreast with changes in data pipeline, business process, and technology process related to the assigned products. Contribute to keeping the definitions and metadata up to date.
- Contributes to the overall data management practice and capabilities relating to data quality, data provisioning, metadata, lineage, reference data, issue management, and change management.
- Deep knowledge of capital markets products.
- Deep knowledge of securities reference and market data, such as Bloomberg data.
- Some knowledge of the securities settlement process.
- Understanding of key components of modern data platforms including: data controls, data acquisition and ingestion, data processing, data enrichment, data models, data distribution.
- Experience with project delivery, business analysis, and user acceptance testing
- Experience with data and metadata management tools and techniques.
- Strong communication skills. Ability to tailor communication approach for different audiences in senior leadership, front office, mid/back office, and technology.
- SQL, HQL, SPARQL, Phyton skills.
- Google Cloud Platform, Knowledge Graph, Ontology, Data Fabric, and Data Mesh experience will be beneficial.
- Graduate Degree in IT or Business-related discipline preferred
- 5+ years of experience working with capital markets and/or corporate banking products and processes is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Financial Services
- Good knowledge of programming in SQL, SPARQL, HQL, and Phyton is preferred.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Stardog)
- Knowledge of global financial regulatory environment is preferred
