      General Summary

      The CU Event Manager’s main function is to lead, plan, and manage day-to-day operations. Primarily focusing on meeting the needs of the client/venue, building events, ensuring staffing levels are met, solving problems, and identifying needs and concerns from an overall management perspective. Develops effective working relationships and communicates timely and effectively. In general, ensures the smooth operation of all events at the venue.

      Principal Duties and Responsibilities

      1. Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with client representatives from venue and attend meetings at the venue as needed.
      2. Ensure and monitor the quality of event operations for venue.
      3. Ensure adherence to all administrative policies and procedures.
      4. Builds management team, trains, coaches and evaluates performance of Management Staff; oversees all other venue staff.
      5. Ensure compliance with all human resources policies and procedures, including hiring procedures.
      6. Identify potential process improvements to include cost savings and increased revenue.
      7. Oversee staffing levels, working with supervisors prior to the event to ensure event is fully staffed.
      8. Work to reduce/eliminate labor costs associated with utilizing partner staffing agencies.
      9. Assist with all hiring, recruiting and training efforts for venue.
      10. Communicates with all levels of staff effectively & timely and keeps the General Manager apprised of all movements pertaining to the venue.
      11. Ensures and/or builds events in TMSS 3 months or more in advance.
      12. Develop event estimates.
      13. Prepare and submit post event reports.
      14. Creates invoices and reporting prior to event to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
      15. Resolve guest related issues addressing needs or concerns as they arise.
      16. Proactively communicate with all levels and work collaboratively with Corporate Argus; Human Resources, Accounting, Operations etc.
      17. The Manager will be working at other Argus facilities when not working at the priority venue.
      18. Average 20 billable hours a week annually.
      19. Must maintain an active Merchant’s Guard License, TEAM and CPR and other mandatory training.

      This is an exempt position and is benefit (Health, Dental, Vision, Life/Disability, 401K) eligible on the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment.
