At PayPal (NASDAQ: PYPL), we believe that every person has the right to participate fully in the global economy. Our mission is to revolutionize commerce globally to make moving money, selling and shopping, personalized and secure.

      Job Description Summary:

“Just Venmo me.” You may have heard—or used—this phrase before. Venmo has reached verb-status, becoming synonymous with “to pay back.” But Venmo isn’t just about transactions. It’s about interactions. It’s where your money finds meaning as you share, connect, and split purchases with friends. People love sending money and paying with Venmo, and we've come a long way from our humble beginnings as a P2P app. Millions of users have now also made products such as the Venmo Debit Card, Venmo Checkout, Venmo Credit Card, Crypto on Venmo (and more) a part of their financial lives, and there’s so much more we can do as their go-to for fast, safe, social payments.

Reporting to the Head of Growth, the Manager, Venmo Growth Marketing will play a pivotal role in spearheading and optimizing various non-paid acquisition workstreams (e.g. referral program, product growth, app store optimization, search engine optimization, conversion rate optimization) to achieve substantial business growth. If you are an experienced Growth Marketing Manager with strong cross-functional collaboration with a passion for driving innovative strategies, leveraging data-driven insights, and working in a values-driven environment – then PayPal’s Marketing team is looking for you.

      Job Description:

In your role as a Sr. Manager, Venmo Growth Marketing, you will:

      • Spearhead comprehensive growth acquisition strategies, including ASO (App Store Optimization), SEO (Search Engine Optimization), CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization), referral programs, and product growth initiatives, to drive Venmo through a dynamic high-growth phase. Foster cross-functional collaboration with marketing, product/engineering, analytics, and MarTech teams to align efforts towards shared growth objectives, while ensuring accountability for business impact metrics and resource advocacy.

      • Lead ASO and SEO strategies to ensure optimal visibility and discoverability. Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and collaborate with design, development, and content teams to enhance overall app and website presence.

      • Drive product-driven growth initiatives such as the referral program (MGM, member-get-member) to acquire customers and improve user retention. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product features with growth objectives, leveraging data insights for strategic decision-making, and maximizing user participation.

      • Lead Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) efforts to enhance website and app conversion rates, resulting in a more seamless user journey through the marketing funnel. Utilize A/B testing, consumer research, and data-driven optimizations to implement seamless strategies impacting multiple marketing workstreams.

      Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Economics, or liberal studies

      • 8+ years of hands-on experience in growth marketing, product growth, SEO, ASO, product marketing, and/or paid media, demonstrating a versatile skill set across various domains.

      • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

      • Strong cross- functional collaboration skills

      • Team worker, responsible, delivery-oriented

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Demonstrate a proven track record of navigating and influencing cross-functional teams. Take full end-to-end accountability for spearheading new programs, consistently delivering impactful business results.

      • Exhibit a solutions-oriented mindset with an exceptional capability to quickly problem-solve. Comfortably develop solutions that effectively target root problems, translating to long-term business impact.

      • Possess a strong executive presence with a visionary’s capability to articulate the big picture both in written and verbal communication. Concisely explain trade-offs and quantify realistic impacts. Ability to influence and communicate effectively with a senior audience.

      • Comfortably navigate and drive decision-making through transformational periods within the company’s growth phase. Approach challenges with an ownership mindset and actively support the completion of projects to the finish line.

      • Showcase sharp analytical acumen, demonstrating the ability to leverage data not only for driving short-term results but also for addressing long-term business needs.
