      As the Manager of Weight and Inspections (W&I), you will oversee, report on and implement all W&I initiatives and activities. You’ll provide guidance, direction and training to all W&I Supervisors and Freight Classification Specialists (FCS) within your assigned region. Your years of experience will be utilized maximizing employee engagement and maintaining clear and frequent communication on every level.       What you’ll do on a typical day:

      • Provide day-to-day management of regional staff; create work schedules
      • Determine and coordinate training needs for both new hires and existing team members
      • Review quarterly audit performance to identify discrepancies and errors in the inspection and correction processes
      • Prepare and deliver corrective action reports to team and senior management
      • Instruct W&I, operations and sales staff on proper use of National Motor Freight Classifications (NMFC) and rules, in addition to the XPO 199 rules tariff
      • Ensure supervisors are providing mentorship and training to staff on key initiatives and programs to decrease exceptions and improve audit compliance

      What you need to succeed at XPO:

      At a minimum, you’ll need:

      • 4 years of Weights and Inspection experience
      • Supervisory experience
      • Availability to travel up to 50% of the time
      • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include varying shifts and weekends

      It’d be great if you also have:

      • Bachelor’s degree
      • Sales experience
      • Less-than-Truckload (LTL) industry knowledge and experience, including knowledge of hazardous materials and DOT rules and regulations
      • Knowledge of Behavior-Based safety techniques
