Relevant education at minimum B.Sc. level
Extensive experience in leadership roles in multiple functions and geographies in the Life Science Industry
Managed a P&L for a business or function
Experience as larger market BUD and/or MD in a smaller market is an advantage
Execution oriented and strong drive to lead the local organization
Proven track record in Policy and Access dynamics
Strong influencing skills - ability to navigate among many different stakeholders at various levels at all levels of the organization
Strongly believing in the digital opportunities and in-person customer engagement activities, and having the courage to experiment
Being a role model and be able to lead a high performing leadership team and organization
Good financial acumen to oversee the P&L and sales forecasts, manage risks and opportunities and lead sustainable growth

Overall accountable for the company’s wholesale distribution operations and ensuring compliance with the ‘EU guidelines on Good Distribution Practices (GDP) for medicinal products for human use’, and applicable local regulations related to wholesale distribution of medicinal products.
Ensuring that all parts of the quality system are adequately resourced with competent personnel and that there are suitable premises, equipment, and facilities in place. The quality system requires the Managing Director’s leadership and active participation and should be supported by staff commitment.
Job Description
The Managing Director (MD) is responsible for leading the Swedish subsidiary and making our company’s innovations available to save and improve lives of Swedish citizens. The position reports to the Vice President of the Nordic-Baltic Cluster and is a member of the Nordic-Baltic Leadership Team.
As the Managing Director, you will be responsible for development and execution of the market business strategy, to deliver on the business objectives of our company in Sweden and lead the go-to-market model and organizational transformation as a Subsidiary of the Future. In MD role, you have a strong belief in the opportunities in a sophisticated online customer engagement and want to continue our agile journey forward. All of this powered by data and analytics as a core component of decision making and execution.
The MD plays a critical role in driving an external agenda centered around value for innovation and patient centricity. The MD will also facilitate collaboration across functions and divisions at local, regional, and global level in order to develop and execute strategic initiatives in support of sustainable growth in the Swedish market.
The MD is also responsible for building the organizational human capital, focusing on building teams & talent, effectively develop future leaders and high performing teams. In addition, the MD is legally responsible for the full Swedish subsidiary, across divisions and reporting lines.
This position requires a comprehensive understanding of market structure, dynamics and key players. It requires thorough strategic thinking to assess and develop plans related to various opportunities that are in-line with the overall strategies, leading “one company” mindset and ensuring flawless execution of all plans and processes.
The role is based in Stockholm – we are also open to applications from candidates based in other countries and willing to relocate to Sweden.
