What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide general administrative support to the Managing Editorial department, including scheduling meetings and maintaining calendars
- Set up and manage title metadata and schedules using SAP and FileMaker Pro
- Approve covers for distribution and disseminate information on production schedules and prices
- Coordinate reprint corrections and ensure accuracy in book details
- Review eBooks for formatting, content accuracy, and overall quality
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 6 months prior publishing experience
- Excellent communication skills to interact with various departments
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in children's publishing or related fields
- Familiarity with digital publishing formats and requirements
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience with project management or coordination tasks
