Aerotek is looking to expand our Manual Machinist roster in Calgary with some of our top clients, we currently have multiple roles available for qualified machinist!!
We are currently hiring for a Manual Machinist role for a machine shop located in SE Calgary, Alberta. This job opportunity will provide full time hours, long term benefits with stability and longevity for the right candidate. There will also be opportunity for growth and pay increases.
Description: The machinist will be working with a small team of machinists in the facility focusing on the manual lathe. They will be primarily working on drilling parts with an emphasis on creating API threading on pipes. They will be in communication with the manual, CNC and welding departments on a daily basis.
The contractor will be using common steel (4140), mild steel, 1026, and could work on inconel, non-mag, stainless (316,174), brass, bronze, and aluminum materials to complete objectives.
There will be some heavy lifting aspects (up to 50lbs) and contractors will be required to work as part of a team whenever the situation calls for it.
Shift: Afternoon: Monday -Thursday 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM, 4 10s
Wage: $25.00 - $45.00
