Title: Clean Room Operator
Location: Sanford ME 04073
Pay Rate & Shift:
(higher pay negotiable for experienced candidates)
1st Shift: 6:40 AM – 3:00 PM; $18.50/hr
2nd Shift: 2:40 PM – 11:00 PM; $20.35/hr
Job Description:
- Employees will receive training on how to operate clean room equipment safely and efficiently
- Daily instructions will be given by work orders and written directions, as well as verbal guidance from Lead and/or Supervisor
- Tasks may vary within the day OR from day to day
May be required to do any or all of the following: - Sitting or standing or combination of both throughout the day
- Fill the machine hoppers with the material that the machine will use to produce the parts
- Take the finished parts off the machine as they are produced
- Use different types of measuring equipment to test the accuracy of the finished product
- Look for visible defects in a manufactured product; sometimes using the naked eye and sometimes using a magnifying glass
- Manually wiping/cleaning small parts prior to packaging
- Package final product
None of our products are heavy, and even several packaged together in a bag will not be more than 25lbs – assistance is always available if a task is too heavy or cumbersome for one person
Requirements: - Reliability
- Attention to detail/quality
- Ability to read and understand written work orders and instructions
- Ability to legibly and accurately complete daily documentation regarding parts and production
Cleanroom Environment Protocols: - All personal items must be left outside the cleanroom environment. Lockers are provided.
- No phones, keys, wallets etc. will be allowed.
- No bracelets or earrings that dangle and could get caught in machinery.
- No eating or chewing gum.
- No perfume, cologne, body spray etc.
- No exposed skin. (except face)
- Long-sleeved lab coats will be provided.
- Rubber gloves will be provided for hands.
- Employee must either wear full-length pants OR if wearing capris, must wear nylons or leggings to cover the full leg. No shorts allowed.
- Head and facial hair must be covered.
- Hair/beard nets are provided.
- Hair nets are required for all; even those with little to no head hair.
- Employees must practice good personal hygiene.
