      Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer


      Job Description

      We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to serve as a technical resource for Quality Assurance, Customers, Production, and Engineering. The role involves developing value-added manufacturing processes, establishing work instructions for new product applications, and overseeing revisions of existing production applications. Additionally, the engineer will develop validation plans for injection molding processes, secondary operations, assemblies, and auxiliary processes.

      Responsibilities

      • Develop cost-effective solutions for post-molding operations.
      • Work-cell layout development and procurement of work cell equipment.
      • Create and maintain process maps.
      • Own the Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (pFMEA).
      • Perform activities for the development of work instructions for all secondary processes.
      • Develop and execute protocols for validation of work cells and secondary operations.
      • Identify and address potential efficiency and profit opportunities on all production jobs.
      • Perform engineering activities leading to timely delivery of samples and production parts.
      • Troubleshoot and develop processes for secondary equipment.
      • Coordinate introduction of new projects from engineering development to full-scale production manufacturing.
      • Design, specify, and procure production fixtures and equipment, facilitating prototyping and conceptual design.
      • Develop packaging and labeling solutions.
      • Write detailed cost justification for purchase approvals and new product capital expenditure requests.

      Essential Skills

      • Strong understanding of injection molding, secondary operations, process mapping, root cause analysis, process development, and Design of Experiments (DOE).
      • Skills in troubleshooting and prototyping.
      • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks for multiple projects.
      • Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
      • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as a positive team player in a cross-functional team environment.
      • Strong written and verbal communication with leadership capabilities supporting company goals, objectives, and philosophies.

      Additional Skills & Qualifications

      • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related manufacturing industry.
      • Desired assembly experience.
      • Statistical manufacturing background with experience in process capability preferred.
      • Experience in ISO 9001, ISO, and FDA certified environments is desired.

      Work Environment

      The role involves working on the manufacturing floor with constant exposure to moving machinery. The environment is HVAC controlled with moderate noise from machines and occasional exposure to fumes from plastic injection molding. The position requires safety glasses, ear protection, and steel or composite toe shoes, with reimbursement policies in place for full-time employees. Clean room attire including hair nets, beard covers, gowns, shoe covers, gloves, and bio-masks are required in specified manufacturing areas.

      Pay and Benefits

      The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

      80-120 days of vacation depending on experience
      40 personal days
      8 holidays
      quarterly bonus eligability depending on how the company performs

      Workplace Type

      This is a fully onsite position in Baldwin,WI.
