      Position Title: Manufacturing Engineer: Metallurgist/Materials Engineer
      Location: Belleville, Ontario

      Responsibility:

      • Liaising with customers to provide alloy solutions for their wear, corrosion, and high-temperature applications.
      • Lead investigations into continual quality and productivity improvements in Melting, Rolling, and Powder metallurgy processes, and process optimization.
      • Specify Heat Treatment schedules for the different alloys used in our processes.
      • Collaboration with Quality and Engineering on control plans, materials production test protocols, initial process validation and re-validation
      • Performs Root Cause Corrective Action for process and part deviations or Quality check failures
      • Experience preparing material samples (grind, polish, and etch) for metallographic examination.
      • Provides technical advice about the suitability of metals for different purposes.
      • investigates production problems related to process parameters, material compositions, and labor practices.

      Qualification and Skills:

      • Must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident of Canada AND eligible for enrollment in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
      • At a minimum a bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy or Materials Engineering
      • A minimum of 3 years of experience
      • Good communication skills, strong technical skills, and consistent attention to detail
