      Webasto Roof Systems Inc. is currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer - EOL Test Systems located at their HQ in Auburn Hills, MI.

      If you have experience with manufacturing engineering with end of line (EOL) software and hardware, then this position might be right for you!

      Job Responsibilities :

      • Develop equipment specifications to support designing and developing EOL test systems (software and system architecture) for new and existing equipment,
      • Provide technical evaluation of EOL test systems (software and system architecture) design during the equipment design review phase,
      • Ensure compliance to Webasto standard and equipment specification for EOL test systems (software and system architecture) during the equipment build phase and pre-acceptance at the equipment supplier’s facility and support EOL test system setup activities during the equipment installation, final debug, and commissioning at Webasto plants
      • Perform hands on programming and debugging of EOL test systems for testing, maintaining, and modifying existing systems,
      • Troubleshoot EOL test system issues on the manufacturing lines; capture and analyze real-time manufacturing data and metrics ensuring accurate manufacturing KPI dashboard data and present findings in written reports
      • Provide technical evaluation of customer requirements during the project acquisition phase
      • Develop control plan strategy of EOL test systems to minimize production down time
      • Develop startup and shutdown procedures for new and existing equipment,
      • Rollout of the Webasto EOL test system standards following best practices and integration with related systems (e.g., IT infrastructure, PLC, MES),

      Education and Experience:

      • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
      • 5+ years experience as a manaufacturing and/or industrial engineer within automotive
      • Knowledge of software development processes, ideally for test applications in the field of vehicle technology,
      • Knowledge of Test Stand and Lab-View programming
      • Knowledge of automotive communication interfaces and protocols (CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, K-Line)
      • Good understanding of electrical circuit diagrams,
      • Knowledge of MES connection and general IT components
      • Knowledgeable with control cabinet set up and wiring
      • Project management/implementation experience
      • 25%-35% travel
