As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play an integral part in maintaining and improving our products and processes for our laboratory automation systems in order to increase quality, maximize efficiency and reduce costs.       Job Description

      Duties and Responsibilities

      • Implement changes to improve manufacturability and serviceability of products and reduce costs using knowledge of manufacturing, assembly and verification testing processes, tooling as well as quality control standards, product and machine design, materials and parts

      • Perform testing to determine root causes of failures using a systematic approach and statistical methods to recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods including executing risk assessments and making recommendations for risk mitigation within a limited scope

      • Support design transfer activities (SOP development, jig and fixture design, PFMEAs) for new products into manufacturing

      • Support the implementation of continuous improvement methods incorporation lean methodologies to enhance production quality, reliability, and margin

      • Collaborate cross functionally within the INS business unit and across departments if required

      Knowledge and Qualifications

      • BSc in Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering in an appropriate field with 2-6 years of relevant experience

      • Working knowledge of general industry standards, guidelines and best practices working within a manufacturing environment

      • Proven experience of utilizing basic manufacturing technologies and processes as well as lean manufacturing approaches including 3D CAD and version control of software

      • Working knowledge of material finishing and fabrication techniques, as well as lean manufacturing practices

      • Experience with 3D CAD software

      The annual base salary for this job ranges from:

      $80,920.00 - $109,500.00

      STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
