      Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

      What you'll do:

      • Learn and apply knowledge of electrical components, interiors, systems integration and/or structural installations to collaborate and influence our multidisciplinary Product Design Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing and Facilities teams in the development of a new eVTOL aircraft.
      • Utilizes various forms of engineering and technical information such as model based engineering definition, wiring & schematic diagrams, engineering dispositions, and ground support / test equipment to support the build of our Midnight Test Vehicles.
      • Develop the bill of process and manufacturing bill of materials for electrical components, interior closeouts, metallic and composite assemblies, wiring harnesses, and/or composite secondary bonding.
      • Support the Test Aircraft shop floor through Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA), red line activities, continuous improvement, and rework/ repair instructions.
      • Support implementation of process control plans to ensure process capability. Support first unit builds, first article inspections (FAI), and testing of the production system.
      • Develop specifications for tooling and automated equipment for our Manufacturing Tooling Team to implement.
      • Drive the Design for Manufacturability efforts with our Product Design team.

      What you need:

      • 2+ years of related experience in Aerospace.
      • Preferred bachelor's degree in related field in Aerospace, Electrical, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering.
      • Willingness to look for alternative solutions and come up with improvements for the installations.
      • Must have experience using shop tools.
      • Understanding aircraft safety, tool control, FOD, and industry standards.
      • Experience working with composite material layup, secondary bonding, and/or final assembly. Working knowledge of and ability to review geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
      • Building and revising work instructions.
      • Effective organizational and time management skills.
      • Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Google suite.
      • Ability to work in a fast paced and highly regulated environment with adaptability to changing priorities.
      • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
      • Great communication skills and a high attention to detail are required.

      Education:

      • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
      • Preferred bachelor's degree in related field of Aerospace Manufacturing.

      Bonus Qualifications:

      • Knowledge of IPC 610/620 & AC43.13-B
      • A&P certification
      • Experience working in a product development environment.
      • Experience working with an MES
      • Experience with electric aircrafts
      • Experience with high voltage wiring, batteries, and electric motor controllers
      • Aircraft configuration management and conformity experience
