      Position Overview

      dormakaba is seeking Manufacturing Engineering interns and Lean Manufacuturing Engineering interns to join our Summer 2024 Rising Talent Program in Indianapolis, IN!

      This position has a pay range of $20-$24 per hour. (Pay rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

      Whether interns are tasked with working in the plant programming robotic equipment on our Manufacturing shop floor or drafting designs of new products, or connecting with customers, out interns are given projects that drive our business!

      What Interns Will Unlock at dormakaba

      Interns will walk away with a professional headshot, a larger professional network, and a one-of-a-kind experience in the security and access solutions industry at a leading global company. The summer consists of weekly business Lunch and Learn sessions, community volunteer activities, and team building events with peers and senior leadership!

      A Day in the Life as a Rising Talent Intern

      Although no two days are the same in the Rising Talent Internship program, an intern’s day may include:

      • Gather data and analyze the business challenges alongside subject matter experts. Drive evidence-based decision-making that helps design a new process.
      • Schedule routine check-in meetings with your supervisor to monitor the advancement of assigned projects.
      • Attend weekly lunch and learn sessions where you will get to learn more about a business topic of the week! Some examples of past topics include: Top 10 Presentation Skills, Environmental Health and Safety, StrengthsFinder, etc.
      • Deep dive into data and use evidence-based decision making that helps design a new process, introduce new technology, re-imagines the way we collaborate, or positively influences our culture.
      • Sit in on meetings both within and beyond your designated role to broaden your engagement.
      • Collaborate with other interns on projects.

      Rising Talent Intern Requirements

      • Pursing a bachelor’s or master’s degree with anticipated graduation date in December 2024 through Spring 2027
      • Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week for 10-12 weeks (May-August 2024)
