      Join our team for a summer internship at Collins Aerospace in Riverside, CA. The Collins Aerospace Riverside facility is the center of excellence for composite manufacturing. During this summer internship, candidates will gain exposure to state-of-the-art processes for the fabrication of nacelle components and flight surfaces for commercial and military aircraft. Interns will work alongside senior engineers and mentors to gain experience supporting custom processes and equipment used for milling, perforation, inspection and layup of composite and metallic structures. This role is onsite, in Riverside, CA.

      This position may be eligible for relocation.

      Primary Responsibilities:

      • Supporting shop floor technical issues and questions from operations team.
      • Support engineering change actives.
      • Implement process improvements to improve efficiency or increase quality.
      • Partner with Manufacturing Engineers on advanced manufacturing projects.
      • Performing data collection and analysis.

      Basic Qualifications:

      • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
      • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Awareness of GD&T and mechanical tolerance analysis.
      • Some experience with CAD.
      • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
