      Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Standing for full shift, Strong Odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.)

      The Microbiology Division provides solutions and workflow for food, clinical, and pharmaceutical environments. The markets we serve include food manufacturers and labs, clinical and healthcare, pharma, and biotech. We manufacture culture media and other microbiological diagnostic products serving customers in the pharmaceutical, food, and clinical laboratories.

      What will you do?

      • Follow all written procedures. Report discrepancies in procedures (SOP’s, DHR’s, etc.) to the Area Supervisor.
      • Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required. Refer to job-specific Safety Analysis.
      • Perform all work activities in a safe manner. Maintain a safe and clutter-free work area. Clean up all spills immediately.
      • Document accurately and check personal work for quality and compliance.
      • Efficiently and safely operate assigned machinery. Perform simple maintenance and report malfunctioning equipment immediately to Supervisor or Lead.
      • Continuously monitor product for defects.
      • Maintain a clean and organized work area. This includes all assigned equipment.
      • Accurately dispense required additives to media and accurately perform the technique of getting pH balance as needed.
      • Read, understand, and complete required documentation. All paperwork shall be accurately and neatly completed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
      • Set up and adjust machine to run a variety of sizes and types using tools to adjust the machine.
      • Help to maintain quality assurance on your position at all times.
      • Help improve the production process by actively engaging in making suggestions for improvement.

      How will you get here?

      Education

      • Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent experience

      Experience

      • 1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or regulated environment; aseptic experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical environment preferred.

      Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

      • Ability to push/pull up to 600lb kettles, stand for extended shifts (around 10 hours daily)
      • Communicate well, both verbally and written in English, and be comfortable performing basic math
