Job Description

- Product quality risk assessment and disposition including Training lots / ASP lots / First time builds lots review and approval for manufacturing and recommendations PICS, CQA, or ITS usage bases on initial assessment.
- First point of contact for external QP issues investigation related to manufacturing processes (Escalate by CQE).
- Liaison / project lead for product transfer and external site product qualification including product debugging, inspections, tracking and approvals for production release.
- Work in conjunction with the Production Managers to gather and verify monthly QP data in the Corporate Scorecard. Assist production managers in the review and follow up on Human Errors.
- Manufacturing Quality liaison between Manufacturing operations (production) and other Support Groups (Tooling, Engineering, Sales, Supplier Quality, etc...).
- Drive EOM meetings, validate performance against Critical to Quality (CTQ) indicators, and establish key initiatives aligned to production/ corporate needs.}
- Generate product disposition instructions and boundary documents as per QP investigation results.
- Generate preventive actions for long term sustainability and improvement.
- Lead other quality resources as needed.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in similar positions or 1-2 years at Samtec (Desered).
- College education in engineering related to Manufacturing (Electronic, Mechanical, Materials, Industrial, etc.) or related field.
- Certified Quality Process Analyst-CQPA (Plus).
- CSSGB (Plus).
- CQE (Plus).
- English advanced.
Description
Position at Samtec, IncMQE - Manufactory Quality Engineer
Shift : Monday to Friday 6:00 am – 3:00 pm.
Job Summary: Provide support for quality issues in Production and Inventory areas. Investigate internal and external reported issues and provide systemic corrective actions. Design and implement long term solutions for quality issues and work towards continuous improvement and manufacturing sustainability, robustness and efficiency.
