- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety
- Interpret drawings and specifications to produce components that meet strict quality standards
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste and focusing on lean manufacturing principles
- Analyze existing processes, identify inefficiencies and collaborate with engineering and quality to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and enhance productivity
- Conduct regular visual inspections on CNC equipment to minimize downtime
- Mentor and train junior CNC operators, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to identify improvement opportunities and develop improvements that are aligned with organizational goals
- Act as a change agent to foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization
- Deep expertise in CNC machine operation and programming
- Proficient in the use of precision measurement tools and quality control techniques
- Knowledge of materials, tooling, and machining processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machinery effectively
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and a passion for mentoring others
- 4+ years of experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
- Strong understanding of CNC programming languages (G-code, M-code) and tooling
- Experience with quality control processes and precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers)
- Associates degree in Machine Tool Technology or a related field
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for programming CNC operations
- Experience with multi-axis CNC machines and advanced machining techniques
