      About the Role:

      Northrop Grumman is seeking Manufacturing Technician 2 professionals to join our team in Beltsville, MD. You’ll be part of a dedicated team supporting mission-critical aerospace systems and innovative technologies that shape our future. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a company known for historic achievements—from stealth technology to lunar exploration.

      Responsibilities:

      • Support manufacturing operations through setup, calibration, testing, and rework tasks.

      • Assemble parts, components, and subassemblies per technical procedures.

      • Use specialized software to collect operational data and perform product/equipment adjustments.

      • Collaborate with engineers to improve manufacturing processes and participate in experiments.

      • Follow detailed instructions and safety protocols in a cleanroom/manufacturing environment.

      • Operate hand and power tools to process metals, composites, and wood materials.

      • Lift and transport components up to 50 lbs. as part of the fabrication process.

      Basic Qualifications:

      • High School Diploma or GED (required; education will be verified).

      • Minimum 2 years of experience in honeycomb panel fabrication or aerospace mechanical assembly.

      • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.

      • Strong mechanical aptitude and fine motor skills.

      • Experience with hand tools and solid math/geometry skills.

      • Willingness to work flexible schedules to meet production deadlines.

      • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

      • Experience with epoxy and silicone adhesive preparation/mixing.

      • Familiarity with hazardous material handling and OSHA standards.

      • Prior work in an aerospace manufacturing environment, particularly involving honeycomb panels and aluminum skin assembly.
