  Manufacturing Technician – Sorrento Valley - 3rd Shift (Contract to Hire)

  Work Environment & Hours

  • Work in a cleanroom environment (lab coats and shoe covers provided).
  • First-week training: 9 AM - 5 PM, then transition to a regular shift.
  • 2nd shift Training: 2 PM - 10:30 PM (5% pay differential).
  • 3rd shift (expected by end of 2025, with increased pay differential)

  About the Role

  This position focuses on kitting and packaging operations for manufactured cartridges. You’ll work in a temperature-controlled environment, ensuring products are ready to be distributed across the U.S. and internationally.

  Key Responsibilities

  • Fill and package products, ensuring correct placement in designated areas.
  • Operate equipment like balances, pneumatic presses, pumps, and heat sealers.
  • Follow detailed work instructions using a cloud-based system.
  • Use a heat sealing machine to seal flow cells without damage.
  • Properly align flow cells in labeling machines to ensure QR codes, lot numbers, and batch records are correctly scanned.
  • Cut excess foil from flow cells and participate in simple bulk formulations.

  Essential Skills

  • Experience in assembly, cleanroom, and production processes.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations, including filling and packaging.
  • Ability to inspect and label products accurately.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

  Preferred Qualifications

  • Comfortable leading a fill and pack line.
  • Some buffer formulation experience.
  • Willing to learn or has experience with small volume aliquoting (less than 1mL).
  • Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.

  Pay and Benefits

  The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
