      Position Summary:

      This role is based at our Protein Diagnostics Division in Birmingham, UK. As a Manufacturing Technician II within Operations, you will join a passionate Manufacturing team dedicated to ensuring the performance of world leading diagnostic products drive global progress. Your contributions will be instrumental in upholding our reputation for impeccable performance and groundbreaking ideas.

      Responsibilities:

      A day in the Life:

      • Independently manage own workload against a published plan.
      • Manage Inventory to ensure materials are available and transacted to complete assigned work
      • Own and perform scheduled activities for designated equipment, area, or function.
      • Carry out data and process-checking activities

      Keys to Success:

      • Take responsibility for your own work to ensure it is completed 'right first time'
      • Use knowledge and skills to carry out troubleshooting and suggest mitigation measures.
      • Set and meet effective goals and create and keep deadlines

      ·Proactive in identifying and implementing improvement initiatives in all aspects of work.

      Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

      Education

      ·Educated to GCSE level or equivalent with a minimum 1 years relevant experience or a relevant degree.

      Experience

      ·Essential: Previous experience in a laboratory environment.

      ·Preferred: Experience in workload management and planning is desirable

      Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

      ·Proven documentation/communication/digital literacy

      ·Able to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).

      ·Computer knowledge and use of applications such as MS Excel.

      ·Practical knowledge of units of measurement and basic mathematical skills.

      Physical Requirements / Work Environment

      • Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and understand chemical hygiene.
      • Able to handle solutions and chemicals.
      • Essentials functions may require lifting objects up to 20 Kilograms.
      • Willing to work overtime in the short-term notice, including weekends to support department as needed.
