Job Description

- Oversight and stewardship of Freight Forwarding activities for HCC
- Provide advice on shipment exception management
- Key responsible advisor for system and process
- Critical position holder for BCP
- Manage Global Freight Forwarders (GFF’s) service performance to meet EM requirement
- Maintain cost-effective freight forwarder service contracts through Procurement
- Ensure contractual, regulatory and controls compliance by the freight forwarders through regular performance reviews
- Steward and report GFF performance
- Drive improvement initiatives for global projects, efficiency improvement, implementation of any Trade Regulations & GBOIMS (Global Business Operations Integrity Management System) requirements
- Decision making to balance BU (Business Unit) needs on MCT(Marine Container Team) requirements
- Ensure administrative capability via the Global Freight Forwarders to support container shipments for China domestic and AP region
- Lead root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence and enhance customer experience
- Maintain strong and productive relationships with Polymer BU’s Logistics contacts
- Coach and train GFF coordinator, CAS (Customer Account Specialist) and supply chain functions on GFF process
- Work with Procurement in the development & execution of GFF contract
- Develop and implement GFF system and processes for HCC Supply Chain Readiness
- Develop HCC GFF BCP
- Develop and execute onboarding plan for GFF, CAS and HCC Supply Chain
- Supply Chain / GFF management experience (a plus)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external personnel
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Self-motivated individual requiring minimal management oversight
- Ability to influence others through informal and indirect leadership
- Ability to provide training and coaching to others
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
