- Install, repair, and hook up electrical equipment on ships
- Lay out, pull, install, and repair cable and conduit
- Prepare work areas by drilling holes and grinding metal surfaces
- Weld mounting equipment and perform electrical tests
- Read and interpret composite blueprints, computer printouts, and Navy standards
- Ensure cleanup and scrap removal for safe working conditions
- Perform additional tasks relevant to the trade

Job Responsibilities
Essential Skills
✅ Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and shipbuilding practices
✅ Ability to use power and hand tools effectively
✅ Experience reading technical blueprints and Navy standards manuals
✅ 2+ years of marine electrical experience or 4+ years electrical experience
✅ Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
Qualifications
Must pass assessment or be enrolled in a training program
Able to work 1st and 2nd shifts (6:30 am - 3:00 pm & 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm)
Must comprehend written and verbal instructions and safety warnings

⚙️ Work Environment
Your work supports the T-AO New Construction Program, building fleet oilers for the U.S. Navy. These vessels are 742 feet long with a 49,850-ton displacement, featuring double hulls for environmental protection.
You'll use measuring equipment, hammers, drills, grinders, welding tools, cable cutters, screwdrivers, and electrical test equipment while ensuring safety with personal protective gear.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
