      ViiV have a role for a Strategic Market Access Manager on a full-time secondment basis.

      This role reports into the Head of International Market Access & Pricing at ViiV, spanning the whole of International region, this role will have an impact across multiple markets with a specific focus on APAC and LATAM. Across all ViiV assets across different stages of their lifecycle.

      From launch planning, initial access through to life cycle management. From global to regional to local.

      This role is highly cross-functional in nature, requiring close collaboration with Commercial, Government Affairs, HEOR, Medical and Finance business functions. It requires alignment and consultation with Global and European Market Access and Pricing teams but also close engagement with Market Access and Pricing teams on-the ground in the Hubs and markets.

      Key Responsibilities

      This role will provide you the opportunity to lead key activities to progress your career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

      Market Access & Pricing Strategy: the role is critical to the development of market access strategies for new product launches and annual tender renegotiations, working with market access colleagues in above-country and in-country teams and in close partnership with Pricing:

      • Lead on collaboration with regional Hubs and in-country teams to develop industry-leading market access strategies that deliver optimised access and long-term value for ViiV’s portfolio.

      • Work with the Global Market Access team to leverage Global level processes, guidance and materials, adapting where appropriate for the International Markets

      • Lead standardised market access planning and readiness across markets, helping Hubs and Markets prepare for the Pricing & Reimbursement process, with the development of price proposals, negotiation strategies and dossier development.

      • Partner with above-country Pricing, HEOR, Commercial, Medical Affairs and Government Affairs colleagues to deliver Launch Excellence milestones for new assets in priority markets.

      • Be the voice of the International region to Global pipeline market access, ensuring regional payer insights are built into pipeline decision-making.

      Market Access Negotiations & Messaging: the successful candidate will be the regional lead for developing negotiation capability and supporting in-country teams prepare for launch reimbursement and tender negotiations:

      • Partner with above-country and in-country colleagues to assess payer needs and gather insights.

      • Lead on collaboration with in-country teams to develop and execute cross-functional organisational negotiation strategies.

      • Partner with Global market access colleagues to translate global value propositions into tailored localised messaging.

      Capability Development: lead development of capabilities within the International Region, to support the delivery of key market access objectives:

      • Design the Market Access & Pricing Capability Plan across the International Region, identify gaps, design solutions, build/maintain materials and implement training.

      • Organise capability building workshops/trainings to upskill local teams on necessary skill (e.g., negotiation skills, stakeholder engagement planning, value messaging, competitive simulation), by managing consultancies and supporting with execution as needed.

      • Work with Global Market Access to plan and generate new content for market access capability programs (e.g., Negotiations, Value Generation, Account management, Contracting) and consult with hubs and markets on implementation.

      • Work with markets to develop cross-functional stakeholder engagement plans aligned to specific market objectives, supporting on tracking against relevant KPIs.

      Data, Analytics and Digital Capabilities: critical to the success of our function is clarity on where we are winning now, where we need to win in the future and what we need to do to be more competitive. The role will play a leading role in gathering, analysing, and communicating the insights that demonstrate our success:

      • Own the development of lead and lag KPIs, develop and refine dashboards, and embed within the above-country organisation.

      • Utilise analytics to Identify creative/innovative access opportunities that increase competitiveness and expand access in key markets.

      Why You?

      Basic Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (business, finance, economics, science).

      • Experience in Market Access, Pricing, Health Economics or Commercial Strategy.

      • Pharmaceutical industry experience, ideally within the APAC or LATAM market environment.

      • Excellent business acumen and comfort describing the impact of market access & reimbursement strategy on the P&L, organisational reputation, and future strategy.

      • Demonstrated track record of analysing data, generating insights, and designing business interventions to help meet commercial targets.

      • Demonstrated track record as a strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and creative, solution-focused approach.

      • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.

      • Desire to work in a multi-national, multi-cultural environment.

      • Ability to prioritise requests from multiple sources / stakeholders.

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Post Graduate Degree (e.g., MBA, MSc, PhD) or equivalent experience.

      • Dealing with offshore teams.
