- Work with team to understand market demand profiles, near-term growth opportunities, and long-term projections.
- Analyze market profitability to determine need for and levels of CSX capital investment.
- Provide customer profitability segmentation and growth analysis to highlight high-potential customers.
- Communicate analyses through presentations to senior management.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, or a related major field of study from an accredited institution.
- Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 ( based on a 4-point scale)
- Academic distinction with financial or quantitative interest/talent
- Proven leadership ability and initiative
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations to a senior level audience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership/executive audiences
- Work within established deadlines
- Willing and able to work days and hours as assigned
- Successfully complete a background check and drug test
- Work inside an office environment
Primary Activities and Responsibilities:
Individuals will participate in an individual project where they will be placed on an existing team within our Marketing (market analytics & pricing), Sales, or Customer Solutions departments. All interns will also participate together in a group project. Responsibilities and project topics could include the following:
CSX provides optional intern housing for the duration of the 10-week program, as long as the selected intern meets eligibility criteria.
