- Develop best practice transfer protocols to ensure delivery of quality patient care.
- Ongoing work with hospitalists, emergency physicians and specialty physicians to develop transfer algorithms and pathways for ease and continuity of process.
- Engage in division strategic system planning to increase transfer volume.
- Provide analysis and interpretation of One Call data sets to the executive team and others when necessary.
- Bi-weekly review and sharing of transfer data sets with the executive team and key stakeholders to identify opportunities for maximizing transfer acceptance.
- Marketing to include travel to referring facilities. Act as a representative and liaison for One Call and the Hillcrest system.
- Development, implementation, and evaluation of key performance indicators with process improvement strategies.
- Represent One Call and present transfer data sets at service line meetings, STEMI, Stroke and Clot team committees and attend other meetings as indicated.
- Development and oversight of One Call Division reporting to include end of month summary, referring facilities, specialty/service line, one call quality indicator, to include acceptance times, bed release times, and diverts.
- Succession Planning to include mentoring, training, and leadership development of employees to ensure there is a healthy pool of internal candidates.
- Five years of experience in nursing management in a hospital setting with three years supervisory experience required.
- Prior experience managing or director of a Transfer Center Program preferred.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Management or related field, or minimum experience requirements.
- BSN or MSN preferred.
- Must be able to utilize independent decision-making skills in a wide variety of situations.
- Requires a high degree of accuracy in the performance of varied responsibilities.
- Personal computer skills required.
- Leadership skills including demonstrated willingness to pursue leadership roles with increasing levels of accountability comfort with decision-making responsibilities, coaching, teaching, and counseling skills.
- The ability to inspire and build confidence in others and to forge alliances and garner support.
OverviewHillcrest HealthCare System (HHS) is a comprehensive health system providing quality healthcare in northeastern Oklahoma, with the system’s flagship hospital,
Hillcrest Medical Center, located in Tulsa. Department administrator has oversight of the Transfer Center in establishing and enforcing policies, procedures, standards, and objectives, to facilitate an efficient and EMTALA compliant transfer process to Oklahoma Divisional hospitals. Position provides oversight, direction, and evaluation for the Transfer Center Team in the supervision of staff and transfer workflow, as well as shares in 24/7 on-call administrative coverage. Provides effective communication and collaboration with Ardent division hospital leadership and relationship building with community partners. Position is responsible for identifying market growth opportunities, strategic planning and meeting regulatory standards. Position has reporting, budgetary and fiscal accountability. Position works jointly with transfer center directors and managers across the Ardent enterprise to achieve standardized transfer processes and consistent reporting across the markets.
