Assumes leadership role in understanding, developing, and implementing key customer initiatives for the on-premise channel across key markets.
Creates customer-focused win-win initiatives that enhance Brown-Forman and customer profitability.
Establishes positive customer rapport at all levels in all assigned accounts.
Conducts business performance reviews in accordance with achieving customer plans.
Provides annual customer overview for brand teams.
Partners with Brown-Forman National/Regional distributor account team to ensure distributor execution of Independent and Chain programs.
Partners with Marketing Managers to drive commercial excellence in programming.
Works to encompass the development of on-premise brand-building plans that are successfully executed in collaboration with the distributor/broker in assigned territories.
Brand responsibility includes the entire Brown-Forman portfolio.
Champions the on-premise effort to win at the point of purchase. Collaborates with region teams to ensure superior distributor execution of brand initiatives.
Connects with multiple external contacts including the distributor, retailers, consumers, and promotion agencies.
Manages budget responsibilities.
Leads on premise team(s) to coordinate appropriate dialog on local market feedback for specific brand plans – agree on objectives and priorities.
Coordinates communication of adjustments to plan based on performance and success in the market.
Develops and/or ensures proper activation of all programs for the on-premise.
Leads development and oversight of execution for On-Premise pull programming and all branded initiatives.
Responsible for the implementation and execution of Brown-Forman business plan with on premise team, and holds them accountable for results.
Manages third-party promotion agencies for on-premise. Ensures agency team is aligned against Brown-Forman business and brand plans.
Serves as the key point of contact with key on premise account groups, covering the entire Brown-Forman portfolio of brands
Sales professional with a minimum 3 years of experience in the beverage alcohol and/or beverage industry with demonstrated success meeting key metrics.
This role must have strong, consistent presence in the market with key accounts and customers. Candidates must be able to travel and work nights and weekends as required.
Proficient with Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and ability to effectively use software and systems to assist with various aspects of commercial business operations, such as budgeting and planning.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
Demonstrated strong coaching and sales training skills.
Enterprise-wide Mindset: Able to put the needs of the overall Brown-Forman business above the specific needs of the territory or team.
Seeks out opportunities to collaborate with leaders in other channels, functions, and geographies to improve ideas and deliver better results. Keeps relevant parties informed of activity and seeks similar behavior from the local team.
Must have a valid state driver’s license.
Physical ability to lift 60 pounds.
Bachelors degree preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of on-premise business and/or three-tier distribution system.
