Gathering quantitative and qualitative market data at federal, state, and local levels.

Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth

Analyze data to track campaign performance and provide insights for improvement

Manage and be responsible for processes to turn data into insights while synthesizing and communicating written and verbal analysis.

Responsible for making marketing recommendations based on the data collected

Assist in gathering, tracking, and reporting competitive intelligence to support the entire marketing and business development cycle, including federal, state, and local budgetary analysis, identifying leads, and providing data and insights.

Analyze data from internal and external source systems and identify trends and processes related to reporting and tracking marketing metrics.

Assist in providing ad hoc analytical support to drive actionable decision-making and support strategic planning and operational measures.

Work with Practice Leaders to support Market Research by collecting and analyzing internal and external data.

Perform market research projects and report s and da ta visualization for internal use.

Compiles and produces sales and marketing reports.

Ability to maintain proficiency and inspire change as processes, systems, and software evolve.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Highly organized and ability to manage time and priorities efficient ly.

Strong analytical and technical skills with the ability to make recommendations based on data insights.

Knowledge of and experience with sam.gov, Deltek GovWin, and similar data aggregators.

Strong computer skills utilizing the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerBI.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to analyze complex issues and interpret them in a concise, understandable format to multiple audiences.

Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment.

Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business Administration, Information Science, Marketing, etc.)

2 -5 years of related experience.

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson, Inc. is seeking a Market Research Analyst to support federal, state, and local market leads with analytics and business process support. The analyst will analyze and interpret data and reports to ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevance. The data will include key performance indicators, performance metrics, workforce and economic analytics, business development, and market research data. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality analysis through rigorous primary and secondary research to improve our understanding of clients, competition, opportunities, and new focus areas. Research findings will also be presented to senior leadership to support critical decision-making. The Market Research Analyst must be able to translate complex data sets and correlations for broad audiences, including business and practice leaders, professional staff, marketing specialists, and information technology (IT) experts.
The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $85,000, commensurate with experience, education, etc.
