      Market Research Manager

In the United States - Atlanta | Boston | Chicago | Houston | New York

We are looking to expand our growing in-house Market Research team (currently six people) with a Market Research Manager specializing in Healthcare & Life Sciences.

This role is primarily internal-facing, focused on supporting consultants in their day-to-day research needs. You will also have opportunities to contribute externally by providing strategic insights to clients, advising on research approaches, and explaining the value of various qualitative and quantitative methodologies.

      What makes us special:
      • Become part of a unique entrepreneurial team. Think independently, use your initiative, and take some risks. Entrepreneurship is a powerful force that drives the growth not only of our firm but our clients and people.
      • Unlock the power of opportunity. Advance your career in a thriving company with a startup feel. We invest in your professional development every step of the way.
      • Enjoy balance and flexible working. Be empowered to do your best work – whether it’s from home or in the office.
      • Prioritize your health and wellbeing. No matter where you live, we offer a competitive suite of health benefits to help keep you and your loved ones safe.
      • Invest in your future. All US and Canadian employees enjoy 401(k) & RRSP benefits with company matching.
      • Work in a values-driven culture. At Simon-Kucher, our vision is to become the world's leading growth specialist. Our values guide the way we do business and communicate our distinctiveness. They sum up what we stand for, influence our culture, and drive how and why we do things.
How you will create an impact:
      • Leverage your market research expertise to help consultants execute quantitative (80%) and qualitative (20%) research for our Healthcare & Life Sciences practice.
      • Partner with consultants to define project objectives, scope, and research design that align with the client's business needs.
      • Manage the bid solicitation, vendor selection, and vendor onboarding process on a project-by-project basis.
      • Draft, review, and optimize screeners and surveys to minimize bias, improve respondent experience, and ensure compliance with best practices.
      • Advise teams on advanced methodologies (e.g., MaxDiff, CBC, ACBC) and ensure adherence to healthcare and life sciences guidelines (e.g., BHBIA, EphRMA).
      • Facilitate efficient survey programming, acting as a liaison between consultants, programmers, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth execution and launch.
      • Provide resources, training, and coaching on research tools, survey platforms (Qualtrics, Sawtooth), and internal analysis tools to build team capabilities.
      • Oversee data quality plans, soft launch reviews, and fieldwork monitoring to ensure the highest-quality results.
      • Coach teams on best practices in survey analysis and support troubleshooting of fielding issues or advanced studies.
      • Develop and share reusable resources (methodology primers, question banks, survey examples) to strengthen research execution across the firm.
      Your profile:
      • Bachelor’s degree required.
      • 5+ years of direct market research experience (supplier side experience an asset, particularly expert networks and HCP/Patient panels).
      • Previous people management experience desired.
      • Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and presenting results from a range of primary and/or secondary market research methodologies.
      • Experience with various quantitative research methods (design, execution, and analysis): Conjoint (DCM, ACBC), MaxDiff, crosstabs, cluster/segmentation analysis, market simulator development. Conceptual understanding is sufficient; training will be provided.
      • Ability to understand complex business issues and advise on actionable research methods to help address them.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
      • Strong technical and analytical skills.
      • Entrepreneurial and pro-active attitude.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Experience with healthcare/life sciences (and adjacent) research and design.
      • Experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, AlphaSense, or other AI-driven tools to facilitate research design, execution, and analysis.
      • Understanding of market research programming platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, Decipher/Forsta, Sawtooth).
      • Proficiency with other analytical tools (e.g., Tableau, SAS, SPSS, STATA, etc.) is a plus.
      • Experience using Lighthouse Studio/Sawtooth.

The pay range for this position is $100,000-$110,000 per year. Compensation may vary depending on relevant experience, skills, geographic location, and business needs. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, 13 paid holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, basic life insurance, and 401(k) to eligible employees.
