- Develop marketing strategies and tactics to boost DEN’s reputation and drive passenger programs and services including promotional programs, campaigns, and amenities.
- Responsible for operations of the marketing team in conjunction with the Creative Services Manager and the Marketing Director, including project management process, flow, oversight, and strategy. Resolves operational and management issues, recommends solutions that are inclusive of multiple perspectives, and solves underlying problems.
- Assists the Marketing Director with budget allocation and ensures projects are completed in-scope and on-budget while ensuring financial resources are utilized appropriately, purchasing processes are followed according to city protocol and recommends budget shifts based on business needs within budget constraints if needed.
- Provides client service by offering expert strategic guidance and exceptional support to our internal clients and external stakeholders. Assist and mentor marketing specialists in creating relationships with clients, managing projects through kickoff/intake, creative briefs, creative review and evaluation, client approvals and execution.
- Acts as a brand steward and champion, quickly gaining a working understanding of the DEN brand and providing professional and courteous guidance to internal and external stakeholders on the proper use of the DEN brand.
- Assist with special events to promote the DEN brand such as conferences, community events and other promotional events.
- Provide leadership to marketing specialists including hiring and training, performance evaluations, coaching, professional development, etc.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Extremely detail-oriented with an eye for perfection
- A proven leader with a minimum of 3 years of management experience who enjoys mentoring and growing team members and fostering an inclusive and respectful culture
- A strategic thinker who ensures marketing plans are proactive, comprehensive and aligned with company goals
- Experience with project management processes, governance and systems. Experience with Wrike, ActiveCollab, Asana or other project management system desired
- Excellent copywriting skills with proficiency in writing marketing copy
- Seasoned in all aspects of marketing including campaigns, digital marketing, brand, and strategy
- Experience with email marketing, ADA compliance and website management is desired
- Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
- Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of experience at the type and level of functional or operational management, which must have included supervision of marketing and/or communications professionals.
- Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
- Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
- License/Certifications: By position, requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application.
- Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.

What We Offer
The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $96,275-$135,000. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but is not limited to:

The City and County of Denver utilizes a hybrid model workplace that balances the responsibilities of public service with the benefits of a flexible work environment. Employees work where needed, at a city site and/or in the field at least three days a week and telecommute remotely at a designated workplace within the State of Colorado the remaining days and is subject to change.
For in-person days, this position will report directly to Denver International Airport . This position might be required to report in person for snow and other non-weather related emergencies.
What You'll Do:
Denver International Airport is looking for a Marketing Manager to join the branding and marketing team in the Global Communications, Marketing and Customer Experience Division. In this role you will report to the Director of Marketing to help develop and execute world-class marketing plans for Denver International Airport, working collaboratively to manage programs and campaigns that promote, enhance, and protect the organization's brand within the overall direction established by senior leadership. In addition, this position will lead a team of two marketing specialists and provide management and mentorship and play an important role in marketing team operations.
We are looking for a creative marketing professional with a client services and marketing operations background. In this position you will be working with internal departments and external stakeholders. This small team accomplishes large initiatives, and you will need to roll up your sleeves and work hands-on to bring campaigns and projects from concept to fruition. This job requires strong project management skills such as a commitment to quality work, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines and juggle multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Job duties and responsibilities of this position may include:
Employees may be re-deployed to work in other capacities in their own agencies or in other City agencies to support core functions of the City during a City-wide emergency declared by the Mayor. Any one position may not include all of the duties listed. However, the allocation of positions will be determined by the amount of time spent in performing the essential duties listed above.
