- Ability to develop and deploy compelling content – this may include email, intranet stories, presentations, website content, by-line articles, videos, talking points/speaker opportunities, Q&A, social media, digital signage and more
- Ability to help with end-to-end event coordination of internal corporate events (including town halls) and external branding events such as conferences, workshops, etc.
- Ability to use analytical capabilities to assess program impact and to shape and improve future activity
- Ability to work with multiple, cross-functional teams and resources in Africa and across TU’s other GCCs and channel-specific teams in other geographies
- Aptitude to guide cross functional teams in our GCC, adhering to the corporate communication standards of TransUnion
- Experience working with outside agencies and wider suppliers for effective delivery of key activity
- A flair for creativity, flexibility and initiative
- Ability to form collaborative working relationships (internal and external) at all levels
- Willingness to support the broader corporate communications team on key projects
- Willingness to perform other related duties as assigned
- Communications portfolio experience – excellent verbal and written communications skills, with significant writing experience
- A minimum of 5+ years relevant professional experience, preferably at a marketing/communications/PR agency or in a corporate communications setting
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or another related field and/or professional qualification in related field
- Act as primary consultant for our Global Capability Centre in Africa on all communication matters with strong expertise across channels
- Help build the GCC in Africa’s reputation (and support wider global brand messaging)
- Build productive relationships and identify compelling stories and activity to foster a positive associate experience and showcase our employer of choice status. As a strong writer you’ll have the tools to bring these stories to life in an engaging and compelling way (across all communication channels and disciplines)
- Oversee/support projects from start to finish, including creative direction, execution and measurement
- Grow alongside our Global Capability Centre in Africa – this role will be hands on but have the ability to progress as our business grows
- The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to simultaneously handle multiple streams of work
- The candidate should be a passionate communicator who is eager to create deliverables

We are looking for a great communicator to join the Corporate Affairs and Communications team of TransUnion to support the marketing communications needs of our Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Africa.
The ideal candidate thrives in an energetic environment that encourages collaboration and innovation, and is happy operating at both a strategic and practicable level. This role will suit someone with the ability to oversee, prioritise and deliver multiple projects with varying due dates and requirements.
Part of a larger global team, this role will implement best practice in a fast-growing centre that supports multiple international markets.
The role will help our GCC in Africa tell its story (and how it supports TransUnion’s wider global growth) creatively and effectively across multiple communication and marketing disciplines and platforms, for a variety of different audiences. If you love to be proactive and engaging, and support a fast-growing global team, this role is for you.
You’ll be comfortable working with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels to support the TU brand and ensure we are known as an employer of choice, in partnership with the Marketing Communication Manager in region. Additional information:
It is a requirement of the Global Capability Centre Africa that you reside in a home that is fibre ready; and has space for you to be able to work comfortably and confidentially on a day-to-day basis for the purpose of your proposed employment. You can be based anywhere in South Africa and will not be able to work in a location outside of South Africa.
A Minimum of a 100 Meg Fibre line is required, should you be successful, you will need to upgrade your line in order to work effectively.
