      What we are looking for:

      Yazaki is looking for Marketing & Communications Coordinator to join our Corporate Communications team in Canton, Michigan. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization.

      This role is for a dynamic Marketing & Communications Coordinator. A successful candidate will contribute to the development, ongoing maintenance, and quality control of the organization’s brand identity as it appears in internal and external channels. This role requires a proactive individual who can adeptly manage various communication channels, craft engaging content, and contribute to the overall success of our organization's communication efforts.

      What you will be doing:

      Internal Communications and Employee Engagement:

      External Communications and Stakeholder Engagement:

      • Play an important role in developing marketing materials for external communication.
      • Assist in the development of content for the company's website, product brochures, capabilities presentations, and other collateral in collaboration with marketing and sales teams.
      • Take an active part in supporting and executing public relations functions to engage external stakeholders effectively.
      • Contribute to the coordination of events and activities to strengthen Yazaki's external presence.

      Channel Development:

      • Ensure accuracy and consistency of Yazaki brand identity across various communication channels.
      • Assist in the maintenance of internal (intranet) employee websites, ensuring content is up-to-date and aligned with communication goals.
      • Develop/execute basic CMS maintenance for external websites, focusing on content updates and organization.
      • Assist in the development and maintenance of social media channels including, but not necessarily limited to, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube.
      • Support the creation and management of channels like email, digital signage, and other platforms to reach both internal and external audiences.

      General Coordination Across Functions:

      • Serve as the central point of coordination for communication activities, fostering collaboration between different teams.
      • Ensure consistency in messaging across all communication channels.
      • Provide support and assistance to various teams in their communication efforts without direct management responsibilities.

      What you will bring to the table:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related field
      • 2-3 years in a Marketing or Communications role in a business setting required
      • Digital design and media skills preferred but not required
      • Some domestic or international travel may be required (not more than 10%)
      • Experience using various digital media platforms and graphic applications; MS Office Suite products with heavy focus on Word and PowerPoint; SharePoint administration a plus
