      Duties and Responsibilities
      PURPOSE: The Marketing and Communications manager is responsible for planning and executing comprehensive marketing and communication strategies that effectively promote the university’s programs and initiatives to a diverse audience including prospective and current students, staff and faculty, alumni, and the wider community. The incumbent will work closely with external marketing partners and internal stakeholders to define campaign goals and objectives, plan and create content and execute campaign deliverables across the university’s marketing channels. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams within URM and other university programs and departments.

      • Plans and executes comprehensive marketing and communication plans; writes and reviews marketing content and copy across digital, social, email, print, video, and web channels
      • Monitors and analyzes marketing and communication metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns; develops reports to demonstrate campaign impact and ROI.
      • Manages comprehensive marketing project planning technology to track campaign deliverables and progress. Communicates with stakeholders on project status and outcomes.
      • Collaborates with various departments to promote and market university programs, initiatives and events such as (grant-funded programs, conferences, seminars, etc.)
      • Works with cross-functional teams and external marketing partners to manage the planning, production, and implementation of creative assets and content in support of university marketing strategies and initiatives; Serves as the lead marketing manager on enrollment marketing campaigns.

      Minimum Qualifications

      Education
      • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
      Experience
      • Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field. (preferably in higher education or a similar environment))
      • Demonstrated experience managing marketing campaigns including defining goals, strategies and timelines for communicating with targeted audiences.
      • Hands-on experience with marketing automation and data analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Tag Manager, HubSpot, Marketo or similar email system).

      Knowledge Skills and Abilities
      • Proficient in digital marketing techniques, social media platforms, and content management systems
      • Strong knowledge of marketing principles, branding, and strategic communications.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create persuasive and engaging content.
      • Ability to create and edit emails and web pages and experience working within a website CMS.
      • Knowledge of marketing and engagement funnels
      • Familiarity with market research and data analysis to inform marketing strategies.
      • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
      • Creative mindset, staying updated on emerging trends and innovative marketing practices.
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
      • Demonstrated experience in project management, event planning, and execution.
