      Join our Ardent Resource Team as a Marketing & Communications Specialist!

      BSA is the fourth largest employer in Amarillo, TX, with a medical staff of more than 450 physicians and about 3,400 employees. BSA is an extensive health system providing clinical excellence to the Texas Panhandle and the tri-state area. Acclaimed for its superior quality and customer service, BSA Health System is comprised of BSA Hospital, Physicians Surgical Hospitals, Harrington Cancer Center, BSA Physicians Group and specialty clinics. BSA Health System has 486 licensed beds.

      Our health system is part of a larger organization, Nashville-based Ardent Health Services. Ardent Health Services includes 30 hospitals and more than 200 sites of care.

      POSITION SUMMARY

      The Marketing Communications Specialist manages the development, implementation, and evaluation of integrated projects defined within the marketing plan to include product and service development, segmentation and competitive research, collateral and channel distribution, direct marketing, advertising, electronic and print media, web content development, and internal integration to support the growth and expansion of company products and services. The Marketing Communications Specialist develops reports based on information collected such as marketing trends, competition, new products, and pricing as well as return on investment. This role has oversight and responsibility for personnel functions within the department and the management of allocated resources. This position will be familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures and relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. The Marketing Communications Specialist performs a variety of tasks and a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.


      Responsibilities

      • Responsible for managing and overseeing marketing strategies and tools to meet measurable business and brand objectives for assigned area. Tracks and maintains reporting return on investment for marketing initiatives and projects. Familiarity with market and industry research.
      • Manages the development and production of collateral for distribution and production of new communications programs, products or services.
      • Serves as marketing liaison for assigned area. Attends and participates in professional meetings.
      • Manages and participates on web editorial team, including digital and social media strategies for specified product lines.
      • Takes ownership of assignments; other duties as assigned or requested.
      • Communicates and listens effectively with internal and external customers; effectively understands instructions and shares knowledge.
      • Cooperates and interacts with supervisors, peers, other departments, and all customer groups demonstrating our commitment to “service.”
      • Meets Budget (Operating & Capital) for assigned areas. Diligent with sound follow through. Detail oriented and secure with legal specifications.
      • Mentors, coaches, develop subordinates to accomplish goals.
      • Develops policies, processes, strategies and goals that support Department/Corporation direction. Protects the brand and integrity of the service.

      Qualifications

      Education and Experience:

      • BA in Communications, Mass Media, Journalism, Political Science, the Humanities, Business/Marketing, Social Sciences required OR Equivalent Years of Experience in one of these fields required
      • Masters’ Degree in related field preferred
      • 3 to 5 years of previous job-related experience in Marketing, Journalism, Communication, English, Advertising, Web Marketing, or Database Marketing in a corporate environment
      • Experience with use of desktop software for presentations and graphic design.

      • Ability to plan, develop and implement multiple projects with brilliant execution
