      What is the opportunity?

      The Marketing Automation Manager will act as a subject matter expert to ensure end-to-end delivery of email communication to Wealth Management clients and advisors. They will help implement Salesforce Marketing Cloud technologies within Wealth Management at RBC, working with internal stakeholders to ensure the successful adoption and execution of the platform.

      The successful candidate will maintain a campaign calendar and work with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, develop templates, filter audiences and deploy messages within the Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem. The role requires an understanding of marketing automation best practices including GDPR laws, Journey Builder and Cloud Pages.

      The role is accountable to the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing Technology. You will manage relationships with marketing partners and deliver a high level of business performance, employee engagement, and a superior client experience.

      What will you do?

      • Edit and QA email templates with dynamic content ensuring they render correct across defined email providers and devices
      • Familiarity with APIs and triggered sends to deploy
      • Build and edit Cloud hosted landing pages with AMPscript and Smart Capture functionality
      • Build and execute Journey Builder activities and associated automations
      • Segment audiences in data extensions using AMPscript
      • Schedule and deploy email campaigns and journeys
      • Maintain reporting metrics and dashboards
      • Maintain a campaign calendar with stakeholders
      • Troubleshoot ad-hoc deliverability issues
      • Maintain and troubleshoot Cloud Connections from Marketing to Sales Cloud, managing data in synchronized data extensions.
      • Contribute to the development of documentation
      • Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholder and business partners using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close. Resolve conflict and issues of medium complexity and escalate others as appropriate.

      What do you need to succeed?

      Must-have

      • Proven experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, especially Journey Builder and Cloud Connector
      • Experience with email development using HTML and ampscript
      • Understanding of CASL/CAN-SPAM/GDPR requirements
      • Experience with HTML development, APIs, SQL
      • Familiarity with Server Configuration (DNS, SSL)


      Nice to have

      • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (e.q. Email Specialist, Developer, Consultant and/or Administrator)
      • Familiarity in web programming (e.g. HTML, CSS, XML, Javascript)
      • Familiarity with other Salesforce Clouds such as Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud, etc.
