      POSITION SUMMARY:

      The Marketing Communication Specialist is responsible for the development of marketing communications materials to support AtriCure products, services, and brand. Activities will include creative development, copy writing-editing, website copy, campaigns, project management, press releases, advertisements, white papers, and video scripts. This person will work closely with Internal Communications, Product Marketing, Digital, Trade Show & Events, and external partners to create compelling messages, content, and campaigns that advance our engagement and brand and will work closely with legal, compliance, and regulatory in the review and approval process of all marketing communications materials.

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

      • Provides concepts and copy as directed in creative brief for marketing communication team; including, but not limited to: brochures, advertising, email/web/social media, white papers, and other promotional materials
      • Experience managing projects from initial development stages through creative execution
      • Creating and editing original copy that is accurate, well-researched, and meets requirements and deadlines
      • Collaborate with product marketing and other departments to understand their message and target audience; come up with fresh and creative ideas, keeping audience in mind
      • Proven ability to manage large-scale projects and collaborate efficiently with key stakeholders
      • Manage and coordinate projects with creative team through work management software
      • Interface and collaborate within Creative, Digital, Trade Shows & Events, Product Marketing and Marketing and Communication to establish continuity in brand and voice
      • Ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines
      • Experience developing content that communicates corporate and/or product voice and value proposition across multiple marketing channels
      • Utilize writing and proofing skills for content development to ensure brand and voice consistency and technical accuracy
      • Manage projects through the approval process and document approvals including budget management
      • Coordinate printer activities; review/approve proofs for the proper production of materials
      • Adhere to AtriCure's corporate identity and branding guidelines

      BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism or related field required
      • Minimum of 2-3 years proven experience in a marketing role within the medical device or healthcare industry, ideally with product brand development, launch and management experience
      • Experience managing large projects and
      • Experiencing in publishing and/or editing preferred
      • Ability to use marketing tools like PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Creative Suite, and marketing automation software
      • Ability to understand the regulatory environment which governs marketing activities
      • Experience optimizing content for today's digital requirements
      • Excellent writing and editing skills
      • Experience managing creative vendors to develop cohesive marketing materials
      • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively throughout the organization and work directly with a variety of internal customers
      • Ability to travel 20%

      PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Experience in Medical Device Marketing
      • Experience Using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat PRO, etc.) InDesign capabilities a plus. Understanding of video editing and production
      • Experience managing vendor partner and budgets
      • Ability to interpret technical information to promotional messages

      OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

      • Ability to regularly walk, sit, or stand as needed
      • Ability to occasionally bend and push/pull as needed
      • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

      Salary range of $60,000 to $80,000. The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience). You may also be entitled to receive bonus, benefits, and more.
