The ideal candidate is a creative thinker, a brand steward and a communications expert. You work directly with our marketing team as a trusted partner and project manager. You’ll support the development and execution of marketing campaigns, primarily tax, using multi-channel marketing to drive awareness which converts into engagement, delivers customer experience and increases brand equity.
This role reports to the National Senior Manager, Marketing Operations and the National Tax Senior Marketing Manager. You’re highly motivated member of our firm-wide marketing team, working at a national level. This hybrid job is based in downtown Toronto. It requires some flexibility to occasionally work outside of standard hours when supporting and managing high priority projects/campaigns and firm-sponsored functions.
As a Marketing Communications Specialist your responsibilities will include:
Project Management:
• Responsible for project management and coordination of national tax marketing campaigns across all mediums required for the execution of the campaign
• In collaboration with marketing colleagues, you will be a trusted advisor in the development of creative briefs, campaign deliverables, work-back schedules and timelines to ensure that projects remain on time as well as within budget
• Support the development of campaign plans and provide regular stakeholders status updates, including distribution of final assets to marketing and stakeholders
• Create scope of work documents for creative or campaigns to document project details, reporting requirements, and costs
• Responsible for managing the end-to-end creative development process while providing ongoing communications with your stakeholders on the status of all projects
• Maintain and update the marketing campaign project planner in the Content Marketing Platform
• Critical thinker with the ability to see around corners and connect the dotsContent Development:
• Process creative brief submissions and assign to the appropriate writer and/or creative agency for development
• Content QA: proofread and edit marketing content for all mediums throughout the creation process from draft to final version—ensure the standards are of high quality, within brand and meets the needs of the goals for the campaign
• Facilitate the process of appropriate signoffs are completed and in adherence to our legal and professional standards
• Provide guidance and recommendations to your stakeholders on the development of content that will be most effective in achieving the goals of the marketing campaign
• Manage the distribution of final marketing content on behalf of your stakeholders using standard tools and processes
• Support the development of social media content, email, website, newsletter, video content for tax content
• Support the brand, content review and creative update of ppt slide decks – directly and with our marketing team
• Support content development for internal newsletters, townhalls, video frameworks, social and email posts and more
• Other duties as requiredAdditional Responsibilities:
• Organize and lead regular meetings and/or calls with your stakeholders
• Build strong relationships with your stakeholders, creative agencies, writers, SME’s and within the extended marketing team

Think you’ve got what it takes to be a Marketing Communications Specialist? Like the colour purple? Great. Here's a few more boxes we’re also hoping you can tick:
• University / college degree or diploma in Marketing Communications or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marketing communications, in a B2B environment
• Exceptional oral and written communications skills
• Strong editing skills with attention to detail
• Project management skills are essential
• Proven interpersonal and relationship management skills with a strong ability to manage, influence and leverage a multitude of stakeholders across all levels of an organization
• Highly organized, self-motivated, team player, adept at managing change and priorities with an ability to work under tight deadlines
• Resourceful with an ability to incorporate ingenuity in the provision of creative solutions that meet client needs
• Experience in a professional services environment, particularly tax, is an asset
• Experience with paid media is an asset
• Experience using a Content Marketing Platform is an asset
• Strong Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
