Job Description

- Assist in planning and execution of marketing and group sales events (festivals, activations, sampling events, community relations, etc.)
- Assist as official park photographer/videographer
- Assist in organizing and creating monthly reports on media coverage
- Coordinate and communicate with all park departments for weekly information and updates
- Assist with social media efforts, including content creation, captioning and scheduling
- Assist with website edits and audits throughout season, including monitoring online pricing and deadlines
- Create monthly flyers and event flyers for all groups
- Assist with signage installation throughout park
- Assist with pitching, scheduling, escorting and sending assets to media
- Enforce all park policies and procedures, and maintain Six Flags standards
- Knowledgeable of all events going on throughout the venue at all times in order to efficiently speak on behalf of the marketing and events department
- Attend special events at the park and assist in other duties within the Partnership/Marketing division as assigned
- Proactively handle any arising issues and troubleshoot any emerging problems during all events
- Performs all other duties as assigned or as necessary to support the Marketing Department and Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be in school for a Marketing Degree or any related field.
- 1-2 years’ experience in the entertainment, food & beverage and/or hospitality industry with banquet and/or private or special events
- Event Coordinating Experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to convey information clearly and concisely to all clients and other departments at the park, written and oral format
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; Canva, MSFT POWERPOINT & EXCEL PREFERRED.
- Strong attention to detail, not easily distracted, and commitment to safety, self-starter.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule when needed (Nights/Weekends/Holidays).
- Weekends are a MUST
- Must be flexible and adaptable to change
- A clear demonstration of excellent Guest Service skills and an evident commitment to our Guest First philosophy.
- Adhere to Park Attendance Policy as stated in the Six Flags Seasonal Handbook.
- The ability to stand and walk for long periods of time outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme heat and sun.
- Fully in office/ at park, no remote work
Job Description: This is a seasonal paid position (with internship credit opportunity) in the Marketing Division with responsibilities that include assisting in the day-to-day operations of the department, events, promotions, community involvement and administrative functions. This position will support Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Splashtown. This position is available May through September and typically works 35 - 40 hours per week with occasional weekends/holidays per department need.
