      Position Overview:

      At Caribou Coffee our purpose is to create day-making experiences that spark a chain reaction of GOOD! The Marketing Coordinator, Partnerships & Activations brings this purpose to life by ensuring Caribou Coffee’s brand events, partnerships, activations and community engagement initiatives are planned and executed with excellence - igniting brand love and driving brand impact.

      You will be an integral member of the Brand Team, reporting to the Marketing Manager, Partnerships & Activations and partnering on short- and long-term community impact strategy and planning, event execution and other key function support. This role will be highly collaborative, working closely with other departments, teams and external stakeholders.

      Core Responsibilities

      • Community Impact

        • Contribute to the development and execution of Caribou Coffee’s community impact strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational business goals and objectives.

        • Lead efforts in identifying and supporting community organizations & initiatives aligned with Caribou Coffee’s vision, values and purpose. Develop and foster authentic relationships and partnerships with the communities in which we serve and where our team & guests live and work.

        • Oversee the strategy for Caribou charitable donations in line with strategic objectives and budget.

        • In partnership with the Engagement Business Partner, assist in the planning and management of company volunteer activities to maximize impact and address community needs.

        • Lead the process of community impact measurement, including tracking, reporting, budgeting and performance of community engagement activities helping Caribou Coffee meet key organizational goals.

      • Brand Events & Activations

        • In partnership with Brand Activation Manager, oversee Caribou Coffee’s key events and partnership activations, enhancing brand visibility and engagement through impactful activations across the Twin Cities and other markets as determined.

        • Oversee the planning and execution of ‘Bou Truck events, ensuring alignment with Caribou’s brand standards and local engagement goal, establishing Caribou Coffee as the hometown coffee of the Twin Cities.

        • Serve as the main point of contact with activation agency to manage logistics, marketing elements, guest engagement strategies and onsite execution to ensure all event details are covered, and the Caribou Coffee brand is represented well.

        • In partnership with activation agency, ensure all critical aspects of ‘Bou Truck operations are maintained including regular maintenance, site permits, execution of food safety & sanitization standards, and on-site event & equipment operations.

        • Work closely with US Retail leaders to properly staff brand activations and events, including baristas, greeters and cashiers for ‘Bou Truck events.

        • Attend events as needed, providing recaps and sharing photos & highlights on Beekeeper as well as during monthly brand & marketing recaps.

      • Build and Leverage Cross-Functional Partnerships

        • Be a brand champion and develop cross-functional partnerships to collaborate in delivering on Caribou’s brand experience for our teams, guests and communities

        • Develop and nurture strong internal and external relationships, creating trust at all levels through excellent communication, accuracy and collaboration

      • A great attitude, enthusiasm, and energy for leading teams and serving guests.

      • Ability to build a financial plan, follow a budget and demonstrate fiscal responsibility.

      • Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment

      • Ability to read, interpret and report on available data

      • Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and execute appropriately

      • Excellent organizational & project management skills

      • Ability to work independently, manage and follow through multi-step project steps/procedures consistently.

      • Ability to manage deadlines and milestones across multiple simultaneous projects

      • Excellent communication and rapport-building skills with cross-functional teams, able to resolve issues and build community across multiple functions

      • Ability to create strong and trusted relationships in all directions and with a wide range of stakeholders and partners.

      Qualifications:

      Required:

      • 2+ years of event management or community engagement experience; restaurant or retail industry experience preferred.

      • Passion for serving the community, working with a variety of field leaders and bringing meaningful brand activations to life

      • Excellent organization and project management skills

      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

      • Valid driver’s license; must pass driving record check

      • Ability and desire to travel and be in the community 50%+ of the work week including some weekends. Travel will be focused in the Twin Cities area.

      Preferred:

      • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or a related field

      • Experience with the marketing mix, understand marketing principles and strategy
