Zurich (Schaumburg, IL) seeks a Distribution Analyst to collect data, provide problem solving and analytical support related to strategic initiatives and operational planning. Specific duties include: responsible for operational processes and deliver insights designed to help deepen our customer and distributor relationships; deliver distributor and voice of the customer insights, oversee broker compensation, and provide valued services through the Zurich Insurance Academy; use data analysis skills to interpret the data to find key themes and trends to make recommendations to support the business; take results, understand audience, and effectively present it to various business leaders; support senior executives during their internal and external engagements with analytics and insights to help them make informed business decisions; manage projects including defining key deliverables, data gathering, producing insights, and developing next steps for leaders to act on; take voice of the customer data including verbatims from distributors and customers, and translate it into themes and actions; and develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders including business leadership. Option to work remotely with required travel to the Schaumburg, IL office at least twice per month.
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field of study, plus 2 years of in the job offered, or similar analytical or consulting role. Must have 2 years of experience with each of the following: working with large data sets of over 50,000 records and manipulating the data to solve business problems; working with Excel or similar analytical tool leveraging pivot tables, charts, and advanced formulas to link or analyze multiple data sets; and using verbal and written communication skills to distill results of projects for all levels of leadership or clients in a corporate setting. Must also have 1 year of experience with each of the following: leading projects from start to finish, including identifying business problems or scope of work, diagnosing needs and pain points, running the project through completion, and presenting the results to key stakeholders; preparing presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint and appropriate punctuation and verbalization to summarize advanced problem-solving techniques and results; and delivering presentations to corporate leaders or clients, including taking notes and identifying next steps based on meeting results.
