- Staff, schedule, evaluate, train, develop and monitor subordinate personnel.
- Recommend wage increases, promotions, demotions, discipline and other employment actions for subordinate personnel.
- Understand department objectives, standards, guidelines and budget to achieve effective supervision of department; adjust daily schedule according to business levels.
- Reviews media plan to ensure it is in line with the marketing plan guidelines.
- Prioritize in-house and outside agency-related projects through effective allocation of resources; oversee and monitor workflow, department and agency schedules, and communication with internal requesting departments to ensure fulfillment of media and production deadlines in a timely, quality and cost- effective manner.
- Develops job initiation requests for all property creative to ensure request meets department and program information standards before development.
- Recommend, plan, and monitor allocation of advertising media and production budgets in compliance with established marketing department guidelines, and to ensure the achievement of property plan objectives.
- Supervise day-to-day workflow and production of in-house electronic media and art ensuring compliance with branding standards; participate in planning and strategic marketing decisions with the Director of Marketing and outside agencies.
- Act as primary contact for outside agencies; oversee, enhance, and monitor communication; ensure maintenance of, and adherence to, budgetary guidelines and timely and accurate delivery of advertising materials.
- Conduct ongoing meetings with department heads to recommend appropriate and cost-effective advertising programs consistent with the overall goals and priorities of the property strategic plan.
- Develop and maintain an internal monthly electronic marketing calendar outlining and identifying content and scheduling.
- Manage all electronic content jobs through the production cycle including monitoring of completion and posting dates and reprioritize tasks as required.
- Assist with the production and execution of print, online and electronic marketing materials in a timely manner to effectively communicate the property messaging and branding.
- Knowledge of strategic marketing, planning, and organizational and project tracking.
- Effective negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of advertising planning, development and creative concepts - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated record of previous marketing or advertising experience with a similar degree of comparable complexity - Prior supervisor experience preferred. These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field and 3-5 years experience in marketing or advertising or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
