      About the Role:

      The Marketing Manager will be responsible for determining, overseeing and executing all marketing activity for HARMAN Professional Solution’s product categories in the live performance space across EMEA. You will partner with the EMEA Marketing Director and be the strategic Marketing partner to the EMEA Heads of Performance Audio and Lighting to drive the commercial success of the category by leveraging your extensive knowledge of the live performance industry and our target customers to build excitement around our brands and a high level of engagement with our customers.

      This role requires a passion about marketing and the results that effective marketing can bring to the business. To be successful in this role you must forge partnerships with multiple disciplines including Sales, Business Development, Global Marketing, Event Marketing, Digital Marketing, Creative Marketing, Product Segments, Sales Operations, Technical Services and Finance.


      What You Will Do:

      • This role covers Live & Performance product categories within HARMAN’s Professional Solutions division; a high growth driver for the Professional division.
      • Be a credible and proactive partner to the EMEA Marketing Director and your primary business stakeholders: Director, Sales Performance Audio and Director Sales, Lighting.
      • Take the lead in determining and delivering the strategic marketing priorities and harness internal partnerships and deep industry knowledge to drive the commercial success of our Live & Performance markets for EMEA.
      • Proactively assess the marketing needs of the business, expertly advising on new ideas and initiatives to help support and drive business objectives and deliver robust marketing plans.
      • Ensure execution excellence for all marketing activities, working closely with channel & product teams as needed.
      • Coach and advise marketing colleagues and other stakeholders on appropriate marketing techniques and channels for your categories and markets to grow skills and capability.
      • Work effectively with your marketing counterparts and other stakeholders as appropriate to deliver integrated 360 campaigns, directly managing execution on PR, Advertising, Content and leveraging Digital, Events and Creative teams to execute in these areas for your categories.
      • Work alongside other internal teams, including Sales, BD, Global PR, Global Marketing, Technical Services, to ensure seamless internal and external communication and manage external creative agencies and suppliers as required.
      • Act as the face and business’ representative for marketing to the external market for your categories and markets, demonstrating the capability to build relationships and manage complex commercial discussions effectively in partnership with your business stakeholders. The outcome of this should be close collaboration with distribution partners to ensure seamless activation in all markets, share knowledge and measure effectiveness to help drive the transition from transactional to a partnership relationship with key customers.
      • Work closely with Business Development Managers in particular to develop and deliver content to story tell and engage our core target audiences.
      • Deliver ROI, manage budgets, track KPIs and compile reports on marketing activities for senior stakeholders.
      • Leverage broad industry network to inform HARMAN’s category strategy, shape the marketing plan and feed insights back into the business.
      • Engage with audio and lighting trade publications to create and generate B2B trade press.
      • Manage third party agencies to deliver to plan within agreed timelines and budget.
      • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.

      What You Need:

      • Hold a Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in a Marketing discipline or a Bachelors degree in another discipline with evidence of additional qualifications in Marketing.
      • Extensive applicable Marketing experience (circa 8+ years)
      • Proven ability to keep abreast of digital marketing trends and best practice
      • Extensive industry experience and network within the live performance industry (circa 8+ years).
      • An in-depth knowledge of the live performance industry – your insights will allow us to excite and engage our customers.
      • You will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced culture of change, and able to think strategically and prioritise while paying careful attention to detail.
      • Demonstrate strong business acumen understanding the importance in aligning marketing activities with the businesses commercial priorities.
      • A growth mindset and track record of innovation and creative flair.
      • Quick thinker with a “can do” attitude who can manage multiple work streams and prioritise according to the needs of the business.

      What is Nice to Have:

      • International experience, comfortable working with many countries and different cultures.
      • Additional European or Middle East language skills a plus.
      • Well-networked within the European Tour Audio space, contacts with sound engineers, lighting designers, and rental companies a plus.

      What Makes You Eligible:

      • Be willing to travel up to 30%, domestic and international travel.
      • Be willing to work in an office.
      • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
      • This position requires the use of a HARMAN or customer-owned vehicle. As such, any offer of employment will be contingent upon having a clean driving record, which will be evaluated and determined in HARMAN’s sole discretion, no more than 4 active points for moving violations (issued by any motor vehicle agency), and no references to operating a vehicle under the influence of controlled substances within the last 10 years.
