      The Marketing Manager will lead the development and execution of dynamic, high-impact marketing strategies, programs, and campaigns designed to promote public transportation, boost ridership, and enhance brand awareness within the communities Link Transit serves. This role demands a creative and results-driven approach, leveraging digital marketing, social media, print advertising, and community outreach to attract new riders and retain existing ones, while aligning with the agency’s overarching goals. The role requires an innovative and strategic thinker to help inspire their team and drive fresh, engaging marketing initiatives. They will oversee a team of professionals—including the Marketing & Engagement Coordinator, Outreach Specialist, Guest Services Supervisor, Mobility Coordinator, and Travel Trainer—ensuring all efforts are aligned with the organization’s vision and objectives.

      Develop, implement, and update a comprehensive marketing plan for the organization, including goals, objectives and strategies to ensure that transit services are efficiently and effectively promoted through the communities we serve.

      Serve as spokesperson and media contact for the Agency.

      Oversee production and submittal of press releases and news articles relating to Agency achievements, service changes, special events and promotional activities.

      Manage transit advertising contracts, including tracking of advertising postings and revenue, act a liaison between ad contractor and Agency to insure compliance to contract.

      Develop and administer the annual marketing budget; monitor and approve expenditures by Agency policies and principles of sound fiscal management.

      Oversee the development and execution of strategic social media campaigns across various platforms. Lead the development of creative themes and visual concepts for bus wrap designs that align with marketing campaigns and enhance brand visibility.

      Make presentations to Board of Directors on transit advertising contracts, issues, research projects or other projects as necessary.

      Lead, mentor, and energize the Marketing & Engagement Coordinator, Outreach Specialist, Guest Services Supervisor, Mobility Coordinator, and Travel Trainer.

      Oversee the team's daily workflow, ensuring that each individual is supported and inspired to perform at their best.

      Provide constructive feedback and performance evaluations that encourage growth, innovation, and success.

      Handle employee discipline and termination in accordance with company policy, while maintaining a positive and motivated team environment. Gather and analyze market data to identify new opportunities, customer needs, and assess the effectiveness of current marketing strategies.

      Collaborate across teams to brainstorm, develop, and execute innovative marketing campaigns.

      Provide communication expertise throughout the Agency to assist staff in achieving their goals; work integrally with other Agency personnel to identify and promote new transit routes and services.

      Work with Link staff to develop survey instruments based on research requirements and coordinate how the survey is conducted on Link Transit vehicles or at other locations; work with contracted research firms to develop scope of work and cost estimates; coordinate the work in managing project, data entry, tabulation and analysis.

      Coordinate and oversee the development of advertising and promotional materials by commercial artists, printers and other outside vendors’ scope job requirements; develop and prepare bid specifications; monitor progress; proof and edit materials; assure compliance with established timelines and quality standards.

      Prepare and maintain records and reports related to marketing materials produced, including expenditures, vendors, schedules and other activities.

      Conduct market research and forecasting to stay ahead of trends and ensure the success of marketing efforts.

      Conduct customer surveys to determine customer satisfaction, attitudes and awareness of services.

      Develop and implement creative marketing initiatives that stand out, engage audiences, and drive results.

      Identify key messaging and branding strategies to communicate the benefits of public transit effectively.

      Collaborate with internal departments to align marketing efforts with overall transit agency goals.

      Build relationships with community organizations, businesses, and local government agencies to promote transit usage.

      Stay current with industry trends, adopting new ideas and approaches to keep marketing efforts fresh and impactful.

      Lead the creation of marketing policies, training materials, and strategies to ensure consistency, creativity, and excellence across the department.

      Oversee the execution of promotional activities and events, ensuring they reflect the company's values and resonate with target audiences.

      Negotiate contracts with third-party vendors to support the execution of marketing strategies.

      Education and Experience
      • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
      • Minimum of five years of experience in marketing, with proven success in leading creative teams and executing impactful campaigns.

      Knowledge of :
      • Market analysis: Understanding market trends, competitor landscape, target audience demographics, and customer needs.
      • Consumer behavior: Insights into how customers make decisions and motivations.
      • Brand management: Building and maintaining a strong brand identity and reputation.
      • Digital marketing: Proficiency in various digital channels like social media, SEO, SEM, content marketing, email marketing, and website optimization.
      • Marketing strategy development: Creating comprehensive marketing plans with clear objectives, tactics, and measurable KPIs.
      • Data analysis: Interpreting data from marketing campaigns to measure performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
      • Creative development: Generating engaging and impactful marketing content across different platforms.
      • Communication skills: Effectively communicating marketing strategies to internal stakeholders and external audiences.
      • Leadership and team management: Leading and motivating a marketing team to achieve goals.
      • Project management: Organizing and executing marketing campaigns within budget and deadlines.
