Job Description

- Working closely with the marketing team to prepare content strategies that align with department and company goals
- Developing/writing content to support email campaigns, social media posts, and website optimization efforts
- Supporting sales and product teams by creating and maintaining content for product/feature announcements, sales presentations, data sheets, case studies, press releases, and product web pages
- Creating resources to drive/nurture leads and generate awareness, including blogs, e-books, guides, editorials, white papers, video scripts, and templates
- Repurposing and reformatting existing content to fit new mediums and promote through different channels
- Generating increased engagement with our company’s monthly newsletter by strategizing and developing copy and resources that capture audiences’ attention
- Collaborating with internal and external contributors to write editorials featured on third-party publications
- Gathering data and researching industry trends to generate content ideas
- Collaborating with marketing, sales, and product teams to develop a deep understanding of our products, industry, and the various personas that we market to

Writing Proficiency: This position requires both the creative writing skills needed to capture the company’s voice and tone as well as the technical writing skills needed to accurately convey information and concepts.

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or related field
- 1-3 years work experience in a Marketing position
- Copywriting, journalism, or creative writing background required
- Knowledge of SEO principles and B2B marketing strategies
- Experience with WordPress or another web content management system preferred
- Familiarity with an email marketing automation system and/or the basics of HTML preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Position Summary
The Marketing Specialist – Content is responsible for creating, editing, strategizing, and optimizing compelling content to promote the company’s products and services or engage with existing and prospective customers through the use of digital channels and other promotional activities.

Salary Range
CA Marketing Specialist range is $25.00 to $28.85 per hour.
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

Work Environment
This position can perform its duties from our Orange, CA office, with the ability to work hybrid part-time, once training is complete. This position operates in a professional office environment and role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, mobile devices, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Requirements
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; frequently required to talk and hear, use hands and fingers to type, scroll and use computer equipment. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection of text/data in both print and electronic forms. Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time non-exempt position. Days/hours worked are dependent on the workload at the time. General availability and presence in the office is expected during regular business hours 8am – 5pm Monday-Friday. However, some flexibility is allowed. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
Infrequent travel may be necessary to visit clients, travel to other LCPtracker office(s), attend conferences/industry events, etc. Attendance at our corporate Staff Retreat is required. This event is a 2-3-day retreat. Attendance at our annual User Conference and regional seminars as assigned.
