      Job Summary

      Perform therapeutic massages of soft tissues and joints. May assist in the assessment of range of motion and muscle strength. Massage soft tissues of the body to provide treatment for medical conditions, injuries, or wellness maintenance.

      Essential Duties & Responsibilities

      • Perform massage therapist duties
      • Assess soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength, and range of motion for documentation purposes.
      • Perform massage therapy modalities based on your evaluation and determination of treatment plan for the patient.
      • Abides by HIPAA laws
      • Completes documentation of all therapies performed
      • Responsible for keeping massage therapy license up to date and active
      • Works closely with managers and providers.

      • Performs job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
      • Thinks clearly, remaining calm and resolving problems using sound judgment.
      • Follows directions thoroughly.
      • Understands guest’s service needs.
      • Works cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
      • Works with minimal supervision.
      • Uses a computer keyboard and possess basic typing skills.
      • Possess moderate to advanced computer skills.
      • Work in a dynamic and constantly changing environment.
      • Adept to multitasking.
      • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 20 pounds without assistance
      • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
      • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
      • Used, carries, and operates all necessary office equipment using finger dexterity.
      • Communicates with co-workers, patients and management professionally.
      • Visually looks at a computer for extended periods of time.
      • Additional duties may be assigned by supervisor.

      Supervisory Responsibilities

      • No supervisory responsibilities.

      Education & Experience

      • Must have a valid Florida State Massage license
      • At least 1 year of experience in clinical massage therapy.

      Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies

      • Fluent in English and Spanish
      • Ability to communicate with associates, patients and other individuals in a professional and courteous manner.
      • Ability to pay close attention to detail and to ensure accuracy of reports and data.

      Physical Requirements

      This position works under usual office conditions. The employee is required to work at a personal computer. Must be able to stand, sit, walk and occasionally climb. The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed. Physical demands include ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
